Cassandra was one of the two reasons I nearly rage quit. If this is what a large part of the community -wants-, I maybe really should leave.

Don't leave. Not -all- the community wants this.

I'm not saying it was right, I even had a character that was involved in the chase after word came about what she did. Just saying it was nice to have real drama and not all the manufactured petty cat fights and the like that usually goes on. Constantly seeing all the high school love stories going on creating drama is enough to make me want to quit. Refreshing to see something really worth characters getting upset over.

I just wish she had some observable reason. I'll take petty but motivated over senseless deaths of characters with hope if I may, please.

I also had a character somewhat involved in the chase and while yes, it made for some excitement, once xhe went back through and saw some of the aftermath of it...it was just awful, I will take high school romance drama any day over senseless murder. I don't understand how it went on for so long and no one noticed.

I have to say, this whole Cassandra thing/issue/ordeal has put my character into scenarios I could not have predicted for them. I can't help but appreciate that, even if for my character's sake, I would have preferred to avoid them. Certainly jarred them out of a routine.

I hated it, I had a character she killed, my character went mad when she was locked up because of her character and things she read, but I worked out a bit about why she did it. I might be wrong but it looks like she was with a guy called Seth who bullied her and locked her up but she loved, when he died (by her hand?) she went mad and thought he was still alive and started doing the same thing he did to her, to people she met. In her lucid moments she seemed to explain it all away by saying it was how she had to survive, but she did have plenty of food and my character, even though starving, would have shared what she had if she'd explained.
I got this clue not only by the notes in the church which my char was locked up in, but also from little clues of what Cassandra had said..... for instance my character was looking at taking the Heaven's bike when her meat was cooked, but Cassandra said Seth was still using it.
I'd love to hear thoughts from anyone who also had the experience of being killed by her.

Sounds like it wasn't just me who didn't like this character. I have to admit though, it was a well planned story if I'm right.

So it sounds like she -did- have a reason, just not an obvious one.
Of course, even if she didn't have a reason.. that's what serial killers do. They literally kill for no logical reason.. no real motivation beyond the act of killing itself.

So.. I feel for those that are bitter that they lost their characters, but at the same time, it's part of the game and it was pretty interesting because you don't see it very often. It is a society simulator after all.. this does happen in society.

I feel like I should weigh in on this too. While it does seem like it was random, she -did- seem to have reasons and a little more behind it. She had mentioned she did it for survival, but it was obvious that couldn't be the full picture. She also took to calling the bodies she had collected her 'friends,' even extending to her talking to them now and again. I would say that points to a slight bit of crazy.

But the whole situation is no worse than pirates. In fact, to be able to pull it off on land with the settlements that exist right next to her...It is astounding. But seeing the aftermath and all the characters who were affected, and those that met, interacted and bonded who may not have otherwise...It was something so alien to the world, something that reached nearly every corner of Treefeather in some way. Sure it was tragic, and frustrating to the people who lost characters to her but...I can bet it is something people will remember, even in a grim way.

One thing we all have to remember is that Cantr 2 is... at the end of the day... a game - one designed to simulate society. Most people in society are good, honest people. But there are some crazy psychos out there. It should be expected that - every once in a while - any or even all of us may choose to RP a vicious psycho... if just to spice things up a bit.

In many other games I've played in the past, killing other players IS the point of the game... and I am honestly (pleasantly) surprised that there are so few killers in this game. I realize it's rough... we all put a lot of time and effort into our characters and into making the things they have, and to lose one of those characters to a killer sucks. And to lose our character's things to a thief sucks. But it gives our characters a story, and creates an environment of real danger that can really propel some interesting plots.

Luckily - many of Cassandra's victims were newspawns who really didn't have so much time invested. I had several characters indirectly affected by Cassandra, and I shall (I'm sure) enjoy rp-ing the guilt complex he got from dropping off one of her victims who happened to be his friend. It adds a lot of possibilities to that character, and gives my character a story to tell. At the end of the day, that's what this game is all about... stories!

Who plays Empress Noella Dracadia? Her empire is only four people in a small town, but I like how she has interacted with my own character since he spawned.

One of my characters has met Noella Dracadia as well. She seems a well-organized, good leader. I was impressed. I concur that I'd like to know.

I've been wondering for a while now who has been playing a character named Lynn Maegan.
