Animal eating
Has the rate at which animals eat, increased recently? I have a few (or seen them) that are forever out of food. The hay in a trough doesn't rot, right? I have tried watching before as to how much they eat..but have yet to get the same answer twice.

Re: Animal eating
According to Greek's original post, all animals can eat hay. However, there have been some irregularities lately. Maybe this is another bug?
I know that if an animal is able to eat vegetable feed, they prefer to eat that first if both hay and feed are available in the trough/other suitable food storage (platters, plates, grass baskets/duffel etc).
It would be nice to know for certain which animal eats what.

You might also check if anyone has a taming project in progress. I've seen it happen where an animal that wasn't fully tamed created a message that it couldn't find food when there was none available. For example, 2 tamed animals were showing up on the objects screen. When they tried to eat and couldn't find any food, 3 animals created events that they were hungry. There was a taming project started with no progress on it.
That may have been fixed, though. I did report it but have no situations where I can test if a partially tamed animal actually eats the food. If so, it could explain why food is suddenly running out faster.
Just adding to the multitudes of different answers you've been given.
