Make a French charrie!

Postby notsure » Sat Nov 23, 2013 2:52 pm

We need French charries!

I know I'm terrible at PR and I know nothing about gaming sites or other places we could get Cantr out there and I know I just don't have the time to find out, so...

If you speak French as a second or third language, please think about making a French character. If French-speaking people come to check us out, they will be more likely to play if they find several thriving locations.

P.S. If you have suggestions for places/sites to advertise, please let me know.

Aidez-nous, s.v.p.!

Actually, French is probably the closest I have to a second language (third would be Norwegian), because I do know a lot of French words, I just can't have even the most basic of conversations in the language.

You could make a monosyllabic simpleton.

Ooh! Ooh! I can also say "J'ai une chatte noire."
And "La chatte noire mange du poisson et boire du lait." (I just learned that one lol)

I know this one:

Je voudrais acheter ta femme et tes enfants.

Can't even remember if the possessives are right there.

I also used to know how to say "I would like to orbit your underwear."

You know, key survival phrases.

I always wanted to try a French charrie. I was conversational twenty years ago, but I have forgotten so much i dont think I would attempt it. Plus I play on my phone more than the computer and too difficult to use a translator on there.

I'd be more inclined to play an Italian char but really don't have time right now to attempt it. I was lucky to have an English char spawn in the Italian zone and kept her alive for a couple decades sleep-working hoping that I'd get time to learn Italian with her. One of these days....

I know how to ask where the library is but no idea how to actually spell it. If I were to attempt a non-English char it would be Spanish. Maybe someday as well. :D

It would be a good way to practice, really... although I'd be afraid of annoying any other chars with my inevitable grammatical errors.

Worse is that I speak Russian, but I can't type in it. That is really a drag. I feel like I could do something in the Russian area, but the thought of having to laboriously type everything just keeps me ever from trying it. Not that there are any/many Russian players these days.

Yeah, but I'd still have to learn to use it. It's not QWERTY, you know?

But supposedly there's a program you can get that turns your keyboard into a phonetically matched one for Russian, roughly speaking (not all the sounds correspond to English one to one). That seems easier.

But then I'd have to be... you know... not lazy.

Ok, just pluck my eyes out with a melon scoop. Who could have been any meaner?
Read top to bottom.

Translation: You notice a woman in her twenties, whom you've never seen before.
*surprised* Well, hello there. We're happy to see you. I'm Anna.
You see a woman in her twenties die.
