I'm surprised that there are so many shoes. Especially considering so many chars go barefoot.

The latest published number representing the hide pants was 4890.

Disclaimer: There's a good chance that some people may be counted twice, being part of several islands. That shouldn't really happen but it was the only way to include people in vehicles and buildings. This only includes islands with population of over 30.
If only counting people outside

The highest 3 numbers of expert skills characters have. I know a character who I believe has 17 expert skills. I'd also like to know how many characters have those expert skills (ie 5 chars with 18 expert skills, etc).

Interested as I am in how high the expert fields go- I have a character who is awkward in eight fields. I would love to know how common/uncommon that is, and how much worse it gets.

There's 1 person with 17 expert skills, two with 15, 10 with 14, 15 with 13 and after that it gets pretty common.
There's 2 characters with 10 awkward skills, one with 9, 9 with 8 and a whole bunch with 7, so it looks like people are more likely to be skilled than not.
The highest combined skill points anyone has is 189677 and there are 4 others with over 180000 skill points. There's a whole bunch of people with over 170000 so there's no use counting those. Expert means you have 8200 skill points or more in a skill, while awkward is if you have less than 2800. The lowest awkward is 1000.

Do these totals of expert and awkward include skills that they may not have tried yet i.e. shipbuilding or animal husbandry that may not be done or just what they have done already and showing in current skills? I have one at seven and still several skills I dont know how he is yet. Afraid he will eclipse that 10 awkwards lol, but he's my favorite charries so he carries on

It only shows ones that they have tried out so far.

You actually don't have a value for a skill you haven't tried yet. It is determined based on the characters "genetic pool" when you first use a skill.

That seems like it opens a window for power gaming/min-maxing, doesn't it?

Re: Things you really want to see in "Cantr Statististics
I don't see how. Where you spawn is random, and who you get your genes from is also random. It's assigned at the moment of spawning, so it's not like you could travel into a location with two natural experts before trying your skill, since your genes would already be set. Also there's random variance applied.

I don't understand how these can both be true.
