If the note has a special character in the title, the contents are going to disappear if you convert it to utf8. But if the note is editable, you can open it for editing and save without changing anything, it will be utf8 afterwards.

There also could be a corrupt character in the text. If the text only partially disappears, there's some corruption at the point it disappeared. You need to edit the note the way Seko said, or if it's not editable, copy/paste the text into a new note.

My point wasn't that it wasn't possible, but that it's terribly annoying because half of the times I found out to late that I copied it wrong, and have to do it all over again... But it doesn't have to do much with the topic.

On topic: I don't think it's more realistic to have more than one role. How many of us have more than one job? And those that do, do they do it because they want to or because they have to? And, on top of that, if you do more than one thing, doesn't that negatively effect the quality of -both- jobs? I think it makes sense to be a full time tailor or full time trader, because it's much more likely that you get -good- at what you do that way. And maybe just because that's the thing you -like- to do.

All the text disappeared. I checked the title, there are no special characters (unless a lonely tilde ~ counts). It's editable, but I'm afraid if I alter the title the text will still be gone.

Well, the text is already gone. What do I have to lose.

Edit: Still nothing. It's like someone went in and deleted all the text manually.
