Extend Modular Production

The new mechanic of building things in parts is interesting, sensible, and useful. But it's almost exclusive to weapons. Thare are no tools whatsoever that are made in parts, even though several of them would be appropriate for it.

Well, maybe that is because I am working on weapons at the moment and haven't gotten to the tools and other stuff yet. :twisted:

Actually to tell you the truth, I'm not sure why the others haven't been changed yet. I think other resource staff members are working on other projects rather than breaking things down into parts like I am doing with weapons at the moment. But there are plans to break things down into parts more and more so expect to see more and more of it in the future. :wink:

tools machines and vecheile are being worked on at present to be stripped down into parts :D

I've had the plans for building Vehicles into parts all ready for awhile now. The mailinglist doesn't seem to be working anymore, however, so I can't make the changes until they're discussed by other Resources members and for the Chairman to approve the changes.

I'm all for modular production, especially of making various parts requiring only one resource at a time. That way people can be useful in manufacturing even if you haven't got the stuff to make end products.
However, please don't make parts that take less than a day to build. Making things in parts already requires more player effort than making them as one, and it's usually either a pain or inefficient to make things that take very little time.
Now that manufacturing projects are becoming individually smaller, it's a good time to allow projects for more than one of the object at any given time. That would especially help industry by warding off employee theft.
