Cantr freezes during turn changes...

Postby Pirog » Sat Sep 25, 2004 10:32 am

The last week or so Cantr has started to freeze during the turn changes.
It can easily be solved by just logging out and in again, but I thought I should alert you to the situation.

And it would be interesting to know if this happened to other people than me...

Yes, it does. But this has been going on longer than a week, at least for me.

I don't think it ever didn't. Did it?

It doesn't seem to be that it exactly freezes, though. More that it runs really, really slowly during the change.

Yeah, it's -always- been like that from my perspective. Maybe you're seeing things, Pirog. You clock -says- it's turn change, but maybe its a few minutes before hand? Haha, it's a bad theory, but it makes sense...

I have a pretty fast connection, so perhaps I just haven't noticed it before.

But for me it seems to freeze up totally.
Like it working for 5 minutes without doing anything...

Well, that would be because no matter how fast your computer and connection are, you have to wait fo rthe server to get back to you...and at the least, the server is very, very busy during turn changes.
