please unlock "The Dead Character Thread"
As in topic.
This topic shows who players of this game really are.
That we are prone to errors, lies and bending rules at any time.
NDS is not followed by players anyways, so why shouldn't we at least know about this?

Yeah, what's going on with that thread. My announcement of my players death and responses to it are missing? That's not cool!

It's being moderated due to the inappropriate language, accusations and behavior on the forum. Be patient and let staff do their job, it will be sorted out I'm sure.

That is not always the case. I actually revived someone who was in near death state and healed them, they are alive and well today. NDS is good for RP in situations where it is prudent to allow it, but then there are times when it's desired the person just die as soon as possible.

Re: please unlock "The Dead Character Thread"
Okay, first I want to say that I created the most awesome post earlier today that was chock full of all kinds of diplomacy and sage words of wisdom and messages of unity for all. So I go to post it and I get this message that the thread is locked and I lost the whole damn thing. So I'm not a big fan of locking threads.
I do want to say that I was actually pleased to see that there were some players expressing some passionate feelings regarding the game and their characters. That is a good thing.... right? I mean, have you ever seen the Blizzard forum? I understand that some of the interaction was getting a bit heated and there is a line that shouldn't be crossed, but I don't think we should all freak out as soon as there is some disagreement regarding an issue. We want difference in styles of play and opinions and all that because that is what makes the cantr world go round.

While that is true, Black Canyon, there are rules put in place on what is allowable for a reason. This is one of those instances where the actions of a few ruin it for the many. If everyone was able to communicate and debate in a mature manner, it wouldn't be an issue.

I don't know what happened after I last checked the thread, but what happened up till then seemed like a healthy (though somewhat heated) discussion.. I hope it won't become a habit to close all the (good!) threads which get a bit of heated discussion about the game...
Don't remember where I was - I realized life was a game - The more seriously I took things - The harder the rules became

The discussion still has not reached the level of calling each other bastard children of Hitler, so I don't see the point of locking that thread.
It was still readable, and great entertainment by the way.

Same.
Saying that someone else is violating capital rule is nothing special, and that should be allowed at any time.
We are not a community of soft puppies, most of us are hardcore players with hardcore opinions. We need a way to express them.
If someone does not like it, I point him to the door - we don't need such people here in Cantr.

Flaming or slandering is not and never will be allowed on these forums. People who can't respect others and discuss in a civilized manner will ultimately get a ban from the forums.
The topic will remain locked until the above has had some time to sink in with some forum users.
Furthermore, using NDS for roleplay is an option not a requirement.

Fortunately, it is not you who dictate the forum rules. What we really don't need here is people who dictate what people we don't need here.

I apologise. Shall I edit or remove my comments?

Staff will moderate the posts involved and then restore the rest. You don't need to do anything about it.

Re: please unlock "The Dead Character Thread"
There could be a separate subforum for sensitive things, where all posts would have to be approved by moderators before they appear. That would weed out the off-topic.
