Most characters do stay in their spawn towns. Sleepers don't move, and adding in the active characters who stay bumps that percentage over 50%. And I suspect it's quite a bit more than 50%. Perhaps the stats people can give us hard numbers.

I wasn't very careful when doing the stats but I got:
43.1% for all language groups, 42.8% for English, 47% for Polish, 36.7% for the other language groups
for alive people in central area or buildings of their spawning loc.

5. Percentage of characters with personal descriptions

51% for all languages, 41% for Polish, 69.5% for English
Alive people with personal desc with more than 10 char length. Only people spawned before 3750 are taken into account

There is no guarantee any of these values is true. :D

Are cause of death recorded? I'd like to know what is the 10 most common causes of death. (My guess is 80% heartattack/starvation, rest is kills by humans/animals)

80% is way low, I'd wager. More like 98%.

Deaths from last 10 years (3700-3900):

Code: Select all

perc  cause
3%    weapon
5%    unsub (heart attack)
1%    animal
57%    idled out (heart attack)
33%    starved

For young chars (created in last 10 years):

Code: Select all

percent   cause
3%      weapon
4%      unsub (heart attack)
1%      animal
62%      idled out (heart attack)
30%      starved

There's little difference between young and all. But about 2/3 of all chars that died are below 30 years old.

Deaths from last 10 years except above group:

Code: Select all

percent cause
5%       weapon
6%       unsub (heart attack)
1%       animal
46%       idled out (heart attack)
39%       starved

everything +- 1%

so, basically, according to the first part.. for all

95% of deaths are caused by the player him/her self... ignoring, not caring, not playing or just leaving..(minus the very few that starve from not finding food)

5 % die from in game reasons.

I'm interested in knowing how many boats there are in the world.

So roughly one and a half per character in the game. Thanks. :)

You can see the raw numbers on my Google Drive spreadsheet. The numbers are taken from the end of turn reports.

From 3800 to 3900, the number of players fell from 888 to 846, a drop of 4.7%. The number of characters fell from 4999 to 4695, a drop of 6.1%.

I did some statistics on who has heard the most talking this week. Most talking events (including whispers) heard by one character this week is 8868. The top 30 is all Polish except for one English character who's in a Polish location. If we don't take Polish characters into account, there's a very noticeable drop, with the character in the next noisiest environment having 1492 talking events. Overall there are only 7 English characters with over 1000 talking events heard. It's hard to imagine what it would be like to read 8000 talking events in a week.

As for who's talking the most, that's less influenced by language group, although the Polish still dominate the top of the list. Top 6 are Polish, with the most talkative saying 1369 things this week, and two others crossing the 1000 mark. The most talkative English character has spoken 740 times this week. To reach the international top 30, you need to talk 320 times, while for the English top 30, 128 times is enough.

I hope this isn't too specific, but how many rose crowns are there in the game, and how many of them have been made by the same character? Thanks to Cale, I think Mudrosa should be renamed Mudrosacrown.

how many rose crowns are there in the game

Done for all crowns and "crowns":

Code: Select all

COUNT   name
1402   crown of roses
983   crown of daisies
490   crown of tulips
309   crown of buttercups
64   tortoiseshell crown
52   crown of lavender
51   iron crown
28   silver crown
14   diamond encrusted gold crown
11   gold crown

This includes crowns worn by already dead and buried people.

how many of them have been made by the same character

Impossible to do, because we don't know who created the object.

Thanks. Cale has probably made about 80 rose crowns in the last 40 or so Cantr years.
