LEARN THE CAPITAL RULE!!!!!!!!

Oh, sorry about that. I have noticed lately a pretty good influx of new players, espcially on the new island. And none of them seem to understand the capital rule.

Good luck. I hope you have fun. And try to get your friend to play agian.

Welcome in Cantr! ;)

You should get familiar with tha Capital Rule first.

Your characters should first look at the list of objects on their location. They should look for any laws that are in effect.

If they found that obatining food is not unlawful, then they should start gathering food.

They should probably NOT leave the location they're on, until you get a wee bit familiar with the game and the interface.
Travelling takes several (real-time) days. And you can't do much while travelling. Travelling without food is hazardous.

On locations, your character should try to get involved somehow. Your characters shoudl introduce themselves to the other characters on the location. Whether they do it politely or not, depends on your characters personality.

I think, that's it for now. If you have further questions, you can always ask questions on this forum. I think, someone (David Goodwin) made a draft for a newbie guide a while ago. Maybe someone can offer you a link to this guide. It's somehwere on this forum. Maybe you can even find it yourself. ;)

You won't get deleted for telling us who he is, I'm sure of that. Hmmmm.....a little paranoid, you say. That narrows it down a little bit.
