Nobody reads mine anyway but I can still write, can't I? :)
Oh great, a public debate... Yes I know that several men are total assholes but I try not to think about it since ignoring people based on their gender would mean missing a lot. Missing half the people in the world.
Wife whackers... I hope they come more rare when population gets educated. There is a limit between respect and oppression. Yes a wife should obey her husband but out of love or at least out of sense of duty, not fear. BDSM stuff may mix things up. Sometimes people forget that it's just a game, there is a master and a slave only for a limited time, after that they are equal until they decide to try again.
Give me one Turk that writes proper English and has something interesting to discuss and I'll change my mind about them. I do not ignore them unless they get obscene or too whiny. But really most people have nothing to say and nothing in common with me, why should I waste my time? (And that's about other nationalities too.)

How can you be critical of others who wont accept you for your sexuality, a reason which shouldnt be relevant in judging a persons character, while you turn around and judge people by the color of their skin?

Part of the advantage of anonymous, faceless discussion like we get here is that you have no idea what the person you are talking to is like. I take it, Hunter, Seko, anyone else who claimed to be prejudiced, that you didn't consider that the people you are talking to might be Turkish, or black, or gay, or whatever other arbitrary grouping you dislike.
A quick experiment: Hunter, pick a few people you dislike from the forum regulars, if there are any. What "race" are they? And is that why you dislike them?
Who you actually dislike is the particular people, the criminals in your area, or whatever. Maybe, in your area, these criminals are mostly of one group. So? Does that mean every person of that group is a criminal? Transferring your dislike/hatred of specific people onto an entire group of people cannot be justified! (try it!)
Oh, going back several pages: the origin of the word barbarian is in latin, and is simply their name for people who didn't speak Latin. A barbarian is someone who goes "ba ba ba" or other incomprehensible noises to the Roman. And since these barbarians fought against the romans (who wouldn't fight when someone wants to take over your land and rule you?) it gained its modern meaning over time.

My reasons for believing that sexuality is gentic, is that out of 100 of my relatives, about 1 out of 6 people are gay/lesbian. I've never done research on the subject, I just know from personal experience.
People are born with their sexuality. Sure, there's some people for whatever reason pretend to be something their not, and their usually not happy. Your true sexuality, you are born with.
God is fact
. I'm not sure what his actual name is, no one really knows, but we all know something or someone created all of this and all of us.
When I at first had used the word racism, I kind of meant sexism, but I also kind of meant discrimination, basically, any negative ism or tion that refers to one human hating another, not on the bases of that paticular humans actions, but simply because of how that person was born.

Huh, I don't quite get you. I don't think my last post represented any critisism against people judging me by my sexuality, what ever that is. I don't think I can explain. If you had tasted red apples and noticed that you do not like them, you may taste them again but you do not like to do it unless you have to because by your experience all red apples taste bad, and there are plenty of other fruits to eat so why make yourself suffer? Now if one day you found a good red apple then you would be more positive about it, knowing that it's possible for apples to taste good regardless the colour. If this is hard to figure because you happen to like red apples, change it into boiled cabbage. Some people say that boiled cabbage is delicious but you sure wouldn't want to eat it if you had tasted it before and disliked it.

The principle against racism is that, unlike red apples, no one has seen any accepted evidence that 'color' and 'taste' are related in humans.
Technically, they probably aren't related in apples either, but each 'taste-group' of apples is kept in the same color by growers.
As for God...like Kroner said.
it's not even enirely clear that time or existance or any such thing had a beginning. And if it did, there's no evidence that it was created by any type of entity. Though there isn't (and hardly can be, really) any counter-evidence. I chose to take it as non-existant for the sake of argument.

You guys are funny. Is not the fact we breathe evidence enough? That we breathe, and don't even have to remember to do so, we just do it, naturally... there's a zillion trillion miniscule miracles that happen around us constantly that we'll never understand why, or how, they came to be. I don't necessarily believe in the Bible, I don't necessarily believe in church (there are always exceptions) but I do know something more powerful then us, created us. So for that, I say thanks, because I like breathing.

nope, not evidence. the fact that the universe seems to obey certain laws and is therefore predictable to an extent is nothing miraculous. the existence of the universe in its form can't be evaluated as good or bad or miraculous or amazing. it just is. there is nothing else. or at least nothing else we can observe to compare it to.

I can give you a scientific explanation for why it isn't remarkable that we breath without concious effort under normal circumstances...
And do you actually enjoy breathing, or is that just an analogy(wrong word...) for your appreciation of your own existence? Because if you like breathing so much, you should prefer to pay concious attention to each breath...
Now to try to elevate this above:
-look, god!
-nope, no god there...
I ask that you try to go a little deeper than 'things happen' as reasons to beleive in God. Why do whatever 'miracles' you see call for an entity controlling/creating them, rather than just matter and energy following fixed laws?

I dont really find it appropriate to compare blacks to boiled cabbage.
Would you say that you hate people with red hair because a few of them are bad?
If you already form an opinion about someone because they are black and you have had bad experiences with black, then it will be hard to get to know one as a nice person. Prejudice clouds judgement.
