Soon.

I somehow feel like "feel free to test it" wasn't the best choice of words there. Still, fantastic idea and I hope it works out fine!

The Players Department agrees. This type of test is contrary to the rules of the game. Use the new system only when the situation permits. under the principles of simulation and roleplay.

Players Department doing their bit to further their stereotype there...
Anyways, this sounds good. Another question though - what happens when someone enters NDS whilst travelling? Do they stop moving where they stand with their items teleporting to the nearest town as they would on death previously?

I presume they stay where they are. If they were "teleported" like the items, it would be an abusable saving technique as long as you have allies in the town you'd be teleported too.

No. Has there ever been a player who created a newspan suicide only to test the system. He stole things and left the road. On the road he is attacked and even let him in NDS state. He teleported to the place of origin where he dropped everything he was carrying. Luck of the persecutors who were motorized and returned in time to finish off him. Very realistic....

What he said, the character returns to the town his items do. It's the only way that this mechanism can work. Bodies have always returned to a town upon death, and now they do the same for near death. This is in everyone's best interests, since you couldn't save a near-death character on a road. They'd just sit there and die (then return to town as a corpse).

Guess we'll have to be paying a lot of attention then. And log in at the right times.

And this gives me lots of ideas of how to plan a robbery group.

Re: Near Death State - coming soon
So, I was thinking about a possible situation today where character goes into NDS in a full vehicle. If you put a character into NDS while inside of a one man vehicle, like a bike or something, can you have their mortally wounded body placed outside like a dead body? I was thinking of this situation where you might actually want to spare the person, but you can't heal while they are in the vehicle or they will try and leave again but you can't go onto vehicle and drag them off because you won't fit. So, how does that work?
