potato paradise
Is it wrong?
And why?
potato paradise : place in cantr where only activity done is harvesting enormous amounts of potatoes by hand, reaching great stacks such as 2 metric tonnes of potatoes;
much activity is based only around role playing such as ... uh you know; in other cases there is not much talking except "please farm potatoes with me" or some variation thereof

I dunno, but my first thought was a game world containing nothing but potatoes.

Re: potato paradise
Why would it be wrong? It's not wrong. If all they want are potatoes, so be it. If all they want to do is RP, so be it. There is no rule dictating that characters/towns should only be reaching toward a goal.
I had a character obsessed with potatoes because he almost starved once. Later the obsession stretched out into him becoming a cook somewhere. He never could get over the fear of people starving and potatoes were always his favorite. He liked having enormous heaps of food, processed or otherwise, lying around.

Re: potato paradise
Potato paradise you say?
As far as i know, the whole world is not obsessed by potatoes, only a part of it.
What are we to dictate what people do eat? If they want to eat raw potatoes. So be it.
( It is more efficient to be grilling meat than farming potatoes )
If they want to struggle for getting their food the harder way. I don't see a reason for why not?

Is it wrong? No.
Do I personally find it to be a bland way to play the game? Oh hell yes.

Re: potato paradise
I'm undecided between locking this thread, ignoring it or move it to Non-Cantr. Any suggestions?

Perhaps we should create a poll.

Don't remember where I was - I realized life was a game - The more seriously I took things - The harder the rules became

Re: potato paradise
The question at hand is: should we judge players on the way they play Cantr?
The answer of course is: no!
