Thought or Rant of the day!!!

I am actually a bus driver. I don't live in the city but in the country. It takes me 25 minutes to get to work then I have to inspect my bus before getting to my first stop. But even before I leave for work, I have 3 children ages 14, 11, and newly 10 that I have to get up and get them ready by a certain time so I'm not late to start my day..My oldest starts school at 7 am. My first stop starts at 630.. I have to be at work by 6.. which means I leave my house at 530.. so that gives me an hour to get 3 kids, myself ready to get out the door.. breakfast in their bellies.. and well I'm sure you know everything else as well. Anyways.. breakfast time.. Gotta leave in 9 minutes! Have a great day everyone.

Great respect for Mikki, I know how hard it can be. I raised 2 children alone, went to college, carrying 19 credit hours and worked 30 - 60 hours a week. I was lucky to sleep 4 hours a day. I did this for 4 years.

I appreciate everyone's comments. I don't have 19 credit hours in college but I am working on 8. Course makes it easy when two of my three classes is online. Ohh.. did I mention that I'm.. exhausted?


So about my day.. since it was the first day.. I get to my bus.. gotta pretrip it in the dark.. Come to realize.. I left my flashlight at home.. such a genius. Anyways.. was late to the school to drop off my first set of students.. I had to do a double take when I noticed my oldest get off the bus at the high school.. then went.. oh yeah! He goes here.. *sniffle sniffle* I have a high school student now! Man do I feel... you got it.. old. I had 3 students taken off my second list.. which leaves a whopping one student.. Now to explain more clearly what that means.. It means that with one child only.. it doesn't constitute it being a bus run.. need atleast 2 students for that.. which also means.. they are going to be switching everything around.. and I like the area I have. On my 3rd set of runs.. one of my students who.. doesn't want to ride my bus.. decided to sneak onto a different bus since I got there 2 minutes late. *sighs, then passes out on the floor*

Note to self.. my 9th grader -really- needs an earlier bedtime when he has to get up at 430. He's such a... grouch.

One good thing happened though.. I got 100% on my math quiz today.. I've caught up and will be passing the goal that the teacher set for me!
