Window cancellation - no frame returned

Postby Kelna » Wed Aug 15, 2012 5:01 pm

I recently cancelled a window-making project with no work on it, and didn't get my wooden frame back. I checked the floor, and my inventory, nothing. I'm not sure if it's repeatable, I didn't want to lose another frame.

It's repeatable for all objects which can be built using more than one object of the same general type (like "wooden window frame" and "iron window frame"). Please avoid canceling such projects, I'll try to fix it asap.

It should be fixed now. One strange thing is that any of the possible types (iron or wooden) frame can be returned randomly, but we don't store data which type was used, so it's better than nothing.

Now that this is fixed, can we add disassembly to machines (like radios) where this was a problem previously?

I can do that myself, if I know what special code to use to return a variable object.

Talk to GreeK, he is more up to date with the details than me.

It's still impossible. I fixed "tear down" project, which is type different from disassembling. Also uses different code and I'll not try to fix that in so unsatisfactory way.

Yes, my bad. I mentally mixed up the "tear down" and "cancel project" implementations.
