Cantr II -- Civilization V Mod

Postby FiziKx » Sun May 20, 2012 8:57 pm

So, I was bored today and ended up starting a nice fresh new Civ 5 Map/Scenario mod. The real fun about this, though, is its theme: Cantr II! Although the island location isn't really correct, I wanted to squeeze as many as I could in. Here's the basic map that I have so far:

(That's the bottom of Fu up on top there.)

Anyway, as I go through making this, I want you guys to tell me which civilizations and leaders you think I should have for them, as I can have it set in-game to show up as them, as well as which cities should be in each of those civs (Also which Civ5 Civs I should use for each of them.)

So far, I've only tested the one island with a two civs, the 'Alexian Empire', led by Alexi Romanov (The Romans), and the Naron Republic (Have it set as Greeks, although that probably isn't the best) with default leader name because I know of none. As of now, it seems like it'll work generally well.

Otherwise, any suggestions will be welcome throughout the process. I'll keep this thread updated as I go along. Also, do any of you play Civilization V and think that you'd be interested in having this once it is completed?

Lond Arminius and Eurytion were/are both leaders of the Naron Republic.

Other suggestions:

Zuzi Empire
Silver Queendom
Blackrock Tribe
Karnon Empire
Hamsters is nice. ~Kaylee, Firefly

Progress Update:

I don't know exactly which cities are in which civ, but I'm giving it a good guess for each one. I also added some islands in the bottom right. I don't remember much about Rus Island, so trying to search for clues on how to paint that one up.

if your map gets too detailed and gives ingame information you should not post it here

Rather, your map should not contain information about current leaders, fractions or their locations. If you just randomly place things from the distant past on your map it would be fine.

Yeah, I'm not going to specifically say which factions are where, and it isn't supposed to be a representation of the in-game world right now--rather I want to use the most interesting civilizations from all of time.

Also, thanks NM! :D

Vel'Nora King/Queendom. Just saying.

Woah! That's really neat? I don't currently play Civilization, but I could be persuaded to try it if it had anything to do with Cantr.
