How to make a map/edit an existing map note.

One of my characters wants to translate a map into english. any suggestions on how to do this? the map is very large and I don't know what program to copy it to.... word breaks the map up into little pieces. I am not very tech savvy..... Is what I am wanting to do very difficult?

silly goose, you don't use word to edit images! :D

Well, I tried editing a polish map a while back, and it was huuuuge. I used Gimp for that. Basically, I just erased the words and replaced them with english words. Shrug. It takes forever, though.

Maps are broken into little pieces because the upload limit is 100 kB, which is too small to hold any decent-sized image unless it's like black and white. It might be best to use PrintScreen to get a bigger part of the image, although then you need to cut it into pieces again once you're done.
