IC: In Character. Usually only used if you're mixing IC and OOC speech. Otherwise it's assumed.

OOC: Out Of Character. Things under this tag aren't supposed to be heard by characters. To be used sparingly. Good for questions in-game about the interface, since the characters don't know that their world is operated by little buttons...

Giving your characters food by your other characters is a CR Breach unless they ask for it and your other character is the type to just give food away. Most time food is giving away a trade will occur.

One thing irritates me.
When I want to know all tools possible (and what I need to make them )I have to use browser to see it - the same with clothes, buildings etc.

Tell me if there is a file with all this which I can download and use offline,plz.

There is actually but I can't remember where it is. Perhaps someone out there remembers.

Anyways, such a list or database of information is never completely accurate because new ideas in the form of objects both manufactured and resources are made all the time or older objects are changed for whatever reason we can think of.

After playing for awhile, most objects you will know by heart (until we change them :twisted: ) so such a database wouldn't be needed or used often and you will probably just find it easier to look it up in game.

There are also role playing ways of finding out how to make something and it is the much preferred method. If you don't know how to make something than chances are that your characters doesn't know either so your character could ask in game how to make someone. Eventually, you will find someone that will know.

I like to use this role playing method myself as it is a lot more realistic than you as a player looking it up and then your character suddenly knowing.

Yes, there is a program which houses manufacturable objects. However, it hasn't been updated in a long time (I've been meaning to... but... I haven't gotten around to it...) - Do a search on the General Discussion board for, uhh, database program or something.

But...you RP asking someone how to make an oven, and someone tells you. OK.

Then you RP asking someone how to make a limo. Someone tells you that, to. The only problem is that I don't think anyone has ever seen a limo in cantr, so no one could tell you if everyone followed the same rules.
There are plenty of things no one has built in character, so no one can learn in character how to make them...
The only way out of that is to RP inventing new things. Which seems awfuly shady to me.

Question KILLING


How it happens? I just hit somebody with a knife (or without it) and he dies or I have to wait to next turn when he hits me. How long does it take to kill somebody?
Will it be shown how much energy is left to him ?? Will everybody, in the town, see that I have hit him ?

Tell me about killing and how dangerous it is to do it.

I remember that at the begginning, when I tried all buttons (I used Mozilla so I did not see hints) , nothing happened when I hit people. They even did not hit me.

If you want to kill someone you can only hit them once each day. you will not see how much life they have. you will see how much damage your hit took out though. They can also only hit you once a day.


Killing isnt the object to the game. Most towns have guards, so if you just outright hit someone, the guards will wonder why and probably attack you. (note this isnt all towns ) killing can be very dangerous, since if you have no weapon yet, chances are they might. Haveing a weapon increases your attack ( obviously ) so if they have one, they take more from you than you do them, meaning they would probably win the fight. also if you just hit someone for no reason, most towns have more than one guard, so when you hit one person, you could get attacked by more than one, meaning you might not live to the next day to hit again.


but I say again killing isnt the object to the game, the object to the game is to play your characters. if one of your characters wants to be a murderer, then play him as a murderer, chances are, if you dont take the time to get him a good weapon and sheild, he wont last long.

When you hit someone, it'll deal a certain amount of damage. No weapon deals 50% or more and the weakest ones can be less than 10%. Bare fist only deals about 3% (that's ok to post, right?). Attack strength is also proportional to your own life so if you're injured, you'll do even less damage. So chances are you won't kill someone in the first hit unless they're already very injured. In addition there is always a chance you'll miss. Then you need to factor in shields as well. Shields deduct a certain amount of damage from the attack depending on what type of shield, so with weak weapons you may not even harm a person with a shield. There's a chance the shield will fail, so you can still hurt them some of the time. With the new addition, you can see if a person has a shield, and what large weapons they are carrying in the character description, although small weapons are concealed.

Once you attack a person, you can't attack that person again for 8 cantr hours. When you attack, it tells you if you missed and if not, how much damage you dealt. The attack is displayed for everyone else to see too. They don't see the damage but they do see what sort of weapon you used. Attacking someone randomly is a good way to get yourself killed in most populated towns.

As for dying, people die as soon as their life goes to 0. There's no waiting.

One more thing. If you hit someone with your bare fist and set it to 0% force, you'll slap them. This is usually used for rp purposes.
