These things made it somewhat more difficult to fall asleep last night. Imagine if your mouth got slashed? Eww! Then I started thinking about potentially cutting my finger in the kitchen, a much more likely scenario. Just gotta be careful.

I'm sick. Since the last earthquake (yeah, there was another one), I've been throwing up almost everything I eat. I have this weird rash on my face. I thought it was pimples, but they don't feel like acne, so I have no idea. :/ Not going to the doctor though. I don't think they'r open anyway, since it's a festive holiday or something.

Sleepless, heart-wrenching, frustrating, harrowing night. Yesterday was taxing enough, why must this night be even worse?

Please, please let everything be quiet now. I don't think I will be able to sleep, but at least my nerves and anxieties might be able calm down some so that I can get ready in a few hours. But then I thought things would finally stay quiet over an hour ago, so I'm not sure this stretch of peace will last.

Even if it does for the last few hours of the night, I dread the impending family gathering. I can't imagine it going well after all that happened last summer when my grandmother passed away. It also doesn't help that tensions and emotions will be high because Easter was the day she was sent to the hospital.

I just want to be home, where I can curl up in my bed instead of this recliner and where my cat can curl up next to me so that I can listen to him purr. At least the poor, frightened puppy is curled up with me tonight. One more day... and then I can go back to work and maybe a better upcoming weekend.

At least Friday was good. And I just have to make it through the now to get to a better now.

You know... I have to use high contrast on my laptop, and often use an 'inverted colour' view.
Now whilst this, in itself, doesn't seem so bad... you want to see the horrible pink hue the Cantr screen has, when I forget to switch back

There's another brush fire in the area. It's not half a mile from me like last, but it's in the next town over somewhere. Anyway, I haven't seen any flames or anything, but when my relatives were coming over for Easter they said they could see a huge pillar of smoke from where they got off of I-4, which is a good twenty or thirty minutes from where I live.

The smoke and fog are fine on my side of the road, but you can see it thickens significantly on the the other side of the light I turn on to get to school, but even though you can't see it from where I live, you can definitely smell it. This morning there was a cloud of smoke hanging out in the main school courtyard so thick you couldn't see the buildings on the other side, and so they're holding classes over until it clears up. It's 09:30. We were supposed to switch classes at 08:42. It's that bad.
