Cancel Project problems

Postby Oasis » Fri Mar 16, 2012 6:07 pm

Manufacturing/Building:
* If any work has been done:
- The project will be transformed into a "Tear down: *" project.
- This will have reverse time to completion from what is already spent on the project.
- It will produce all used materials at the end.

I just cancelled a stone building project that had 2% done on it. It didn't create a 'tear down project', but cancelled instantly and no stone appeared on the ground. At least one other similar cancelled project did not produce the stone on the ground, possible more (4 have been cancelled I believe, but not all by me so I wasn't paying attention to what was on the ground before or after except for the last two)

No, that's okay, these were extremely old projects so it's not like we're missing the resources. But thanks for fixing it!

I have one question, but I assume I know the answer. A common practise of many leaders (and others) is to make a key copy before handing a key over to someone. Often these don't get resources put on them, so they are secure because no one else could cancel them before. I assume they are no longer secure and can be cancelled by anyone now, whether the iron is on them or not, am I right?

Attempting to break a certain lock results in the correct event, but no project is created (at least not in the same location) and this character instead started participating in seemingly random tear-down projects, none of which were located there (it was tried twice in a row to see if it was just a fluke, but it is definitely repeatable).

Setting up two similar projects by the same character will set the first one up properly, but the second results in the char being put on some ancellation project that might not even be in the same location.
Two examples:
Setting up construction of two stone buildings; Setting up the first works fine, then the second says it gets set up, but doesn't... on the events it says the stone gets added, but it doesn't - it generates the line of the stone being added to the project, but no stone gets put to anything and no second project is actually initiated, instead the char finds himself working on cancelling the repair of an old bone bagh-nakh that may or may not be in the same room.

Trying to set up two casks to ferment mead, both projects were set up, materials were added, but instead the char who set those two projects up found herself working on the cancellation of building a wooden cart which I don't think was even in the same town (maybe not even on the same island; definitely not inside the same building).
hmmmmm beer.... pizza.... computers.... women... stir-fried furry little critters...

This project can't be cancel in 20 days by another person that initiator.

Ok, I think I found a source and it should be fixed now. But bugged machines will be still bugged, I will try fix them generaly in day, or two.

Please, report, that new/cancelation projects still create any problems (not if you have old blocked machines, I will fix this).

I just had my character Glyph accidently cancel a clothing project. Now I lack the resources to restart the project... I mentioned before on the interface section that the bottons were too close... anyone on staff have a solution? Or even better can return the rest of the resource so he restart the project... please.

I play cantr from a android smart phone... touch screen... those bottons might as well be on top of each other... and yeah my intent was to join the project... just like I have lots of attempts to leave or enter a building and knock instead... but knocking isn't as bad as removing the project... even if I cancel the project on perpurpose I shouldn't get less then the whole... does it really make sense that I having created the project and having done so not to long ago should lose half the resources I put into it.

You know, we should create special app for android, but we just haven't programming resources to do it. Maybe we should add option (in player options) to ask before any sensitive action? (additional form)

regardless of the interface problem there shouldn't be a resource problem. If you cancel a project you should get back all resources. (viewtopic.php?p=480855&f=3#p480855 )

it works: example (top to bottom)
3574-3.23: Vi uzas 75 gramojn da felo por Sewing a loin cloth.
3574-3.23: Project cancellation resulted in 75 gramoj da felo.

Would it be possible to get an 'are you sure' page before it is actually cancelled? I haven't made the mistake glass has, but I've been surprised it happened instantly without this safeguard in place.
