Attack power to gloves?
Why not add some attack power to gloves. And add something like Gaunlets of studded leather gloves or something. one of my charrs is strict about useing anything but his own hands as weapons.

This could only be done if:
1) Gloves were no longer a clothing item, and changed into an object item, so that they can work like weapons.
2) It were programmed that weapons and armour were worn like clothing items, so that you would attack with your "wielded" weapon and defend with your "wielded" shield. But in this instance, I believe as soon as you decided to use an actual weapon, your gloves would come off.
3) It were programmed that you could attack with gloves while they're on, and still have your array of other weapons in your inventory to choose from. (Ie: No wielding)

I think weapons should be wielded.. so that local police can blame hostile looking people that are keeping their weapons ready instead of carrying them in belt of back or something, but for style you should be able to wear gloves at the same time. Ok now there's the problem that even if there was an event "You see a man in his twenties pulling out broadsword" you couldn't do anything about it if you are offline... I think there should be auto-defend.

the thing is. that I have a charry that is strict at using anything but his own body to attack with. He is more or less a martial artist type of person. He beleives in chakra and all that stuff to. but come on you can't do much a bare fist only doing 2-4 points of damage.
Maybe you can implement kicks into the game. a little bit stronger than punching would you think.

How about the bands that some martial artists wear on their arms to help the muscles develop and increase the flow of Chi? They could be made of iron and therefore use a manufactured resource. I can't remember their propernames but I could find out. (My martial arts don't use them, but I have friends who do).

I was speaking of the reason for people wearing them in real life, actually. I wear them, they increase the weight of a punch and the flexiblity of the arms. Chi means energy, and the weapons transfer kinetic energy that is interperted by martial artist as chi. Also science has proven chi as a transferal of heat energy inside the human body. The weapons aren't mystical, just the reasons people began wearing them.
The bands are called Dorangs in mauy thai and can be made of various materials. They can be worn above the biceps or on the forarms.

How does adding an iron weight add to your flexibility?
Adding a weight to your arm would give greater momentum, to a punch. But that's also one of the functions of a knuckleduster or a hunk of rock gripped in your hand. And the armband doesn't add the feature of giving a harder striking surface.
To say science has proven Chi is like saying science has proven Zog. Neither of them has a clear meaning. If you expand 'Chi" into a statement, rather than a solitary noun, I would be able to either agree with or argue with that statement.
Regardless, since the human body does not generate usable energy from heat, I have great dificulty finding any way 'transferal of heat energy' would have any of the properties that I think are attached to Chi. But without some clarification of what you think it does, its hard to argue.
Edit: plenty of people do things in real life for scientificaly unsound and 'mystical' reasons.
