ERROR: You can not attack this person again for another -3 hour(s) and 6 minute(s).=


Last time I checked it was -1 hour {and some minutes} and before it was 1 hours {and some minutes} - without the minus!

Please help...

This did the same for me day before yesterday but I thought it might have just been a glitch or I read the message wrong the first time. I was able to attack but it wasn't untl several several hours after that time, so you are not the only one having that issue.

Not sure if I can explain this clearly. The timer goes by the Cantr hour, not RL time. So it's not exactly 24 RL hours between being able to hit. If you attack at CT 1:25, then you cannot attack again the following day at 1:25. You'll have to wait until after hour 2. The timer that shows you how long is a little inaccurate in that regard because it counts RL time between hits.

There's a cutoff point somewhere in there that if you attack early enough in the hour then you can attack within the hour the following day, but that's a little off topic.

I think you missed the point. The counter went negative. Normally it says that you can't attack again for another X hours, X being a positive number. That counted down to zero and then went past it into negative numbers. Sounds like a bug to me.

No, I knew exactly what he was talking about with the negative numbers. That's how it's worked since the countdown was implemented. Not saying it's good or bad, just saying that's the way it's been and why.

Right this moment, I have a char who gets this message: ERROR: You can not attack this person again for another -1 hour(s) and 31 minute(s).=

He attacked himself yesterday at 4:19. It's currently 4:05. He will not be able to attack himself again until after hour 5, which is why the countdown shows a negative amount.



EDIT: There might actually be something wrong with things refreshing that's completely separate from the attack countdown. One of mine just tried to hit himself and the error message said -4 hours. He attacked himself yesterday at hour 1, it's now hour 4 and he's unable to strike himself again.

Also, tiredness from projects does not seem to be getting replenished afterward. Several of my chars are at 11% tiredness and they've done nothing but work - no dragging, no fighting, no hunting.

Here's what I posted in the suggested forums before, minus the one thing that was actually semi-relevant to the thread.

Must I explain this again? (I had to write this on the IRC today.)


If you are working on a project when the project tick happens (I don't think dragging counts), your tiredness goes up by somewhere between 2% and 3%, and stays there until the tiredness tick (which is NOT on joo's tick thing, by the way), when it goes down 5% or more if you're on a piece of furniture at that moment. It's been this way since I joined the game, probably longer. If everybody is suddenly noticing it, it means either you've been ignorant all this time, or there's a bug.

Just so you know, none of my characters have accumulated any extra tiredness that didn't come from dragging or sparring today. If it's a bug, it's a random one.


I just did a once-over on all of my characters just to see, and I was wrong. My characters that have done nothing but work over the past few hours are at levels of tiredness that they should not be at. And since attack timers are also failing to cancel out after the proper tick (yes, there is a violence tick, in case you didn't know).....I forgot where I was going to go with that. :oops:

I believe there the tick for furniture resting is separate from the normal tiredness tick, but I'm not sure; I'm testing this by having a character rest on a fur rug.

Projects, travelling, and eating are still processing normally though. But maybe the tick clocks still need a manual reset. Is it possible to reset individual ticks manually? ....

For one of my chars it's now been one day and two hours, in Cantr time, and he still can't spar with the same person again.
Last time sparred: 3560-5.08
Time now: 3561-7.33

And yep, tiredness seems borked up as well.
Definitely seems something's gone fishy in the state of Denmark.

The tiredness definitely is way out there.
Just checked another char who's only repaired two or three tools that each needed between one and four hours each, and his tiredness is at 16%.
He hasn't hunted in days, hasn't sparred, all he did was those repairs, and he wasn't tired at all when he got started on the first of those repairs.

And checking the char who I originally posted this for about the sparring, guess what, now at 3561-7.35 he suddenly can spar...

It's obvious that the general turn tick doesn't work as intended at the moment. We're looking at it.

Edit: One of my chars has regained 5% tiredness, so I think we're on track. You who have taken notes of your tiredness (and attack blocks), can you please confirm?
