Re: The Dead Character Thread
Aww... A few tears are nice
also now gone*:
Dill (originally of Akypor and New Xanth Forest)
He was quite complicated at the end. He walked to Xanth, and loved it there... right up until the massacre and following it, he was in the uncomfortable position of witnessing some duplicity in subsequent settlers, and was always voicing this, but to no avail. He left there with the love of his life, and whilst they had a great time travelling around, think this always killed him a little on the inside. He promised his lover that he would never die
(I think that's the only promise he may ever have broken in his entire life)
Cadmus Cloverhorn (originally of Dom Hofran, and ending up settling a ton in Zhifco Zweran)
After spending years lolling around doing nothing, he suddenly realised that he couldn't stand it any more. He left the political ideals of Hofran and settled a town with his friend, and someone he became very close to. All he ever wanted in life was a town with 'commune' principles, and a beehive. He got the beehive, after a long time of embracing new people to the town, and couldn't carry on after his friend finally passed away. He either literally fell on his sword or slit his wrists with it. (Strange how I forgot that already)
He died still not knowing the fate of someone else he cared for, and as grumpy and cynical as the day he spawned.
*as far as I am aware, there are no outstanding issues after 4 days. Feel free to edit these posts if any are identified. I am only making them for my own peace of mind, I think. We;; that and to OOCly let people know, of course.

Re: The Dead Character Thread
I met Dill briefly, but I don't remember what my character thought of him. I'd have to look at old turn reports, and I don't feel like doing that right now. lol
As for Cadmus, nicknamed "Frowny Man" by a good friend of my character's (who is also dead now), I've known him since he spawned, and my character for awhile was actually jealous of the relationship between him and Lucy. I don't think he ever paid much mind to him in the later part of his life before he moved over to Zhifko, but after he did move Harvey always spoke favorably of him (well, that is, whenever my character bothered to pay notice).
All that being said, neither of my characters know that they've died, so no tears from here.

Re: The Dead Character Thread
One of mine was crying even before it happened. She's young, she'll get over it. But he really made an impression on her, especially in that he trusted her. It's too bad they never got that long to interact. But he'll be in her memory forever, once the tears and anger fade away.

My second lojban character, djipelun, died about three weeks afer spawning, from starvation. No one knew his name. He only saw three people, including the German character Alexa, who staved off his starvation for a day or so. He probably would have survived longer had he known that asparagus could be eaten.
No one cares.

I didn't meet that character, but *hugs*
I don't even post my dead characters here. I know that, at least one of them, has been missed, though. And it's kind of comforting.
No one cared about the others, so... I know the feeling.

Naveah died still completely loving him but knowing nothing would come of it. She was broken hearted when she left. She did know how much he cared however. She had other friends she never really realized she had but Cadmus was the only one she never had to guess about how he felt about her. She had a closer relationship with him than anyone else. Cadmus was easily another one of my favorites. (And you know already how I felt about Gog as well). You've had some pretty amazing characters curious

Yes poor Gog, he is and will continue to be missed.
On the other hand, I don't have to go worrying too much over finding a fish source! Mine was trying to do that just for him!

I miss Gog.
You know, my character hasn't had fish in awhile. Maybe I should make her crave it.

Gog.Gog never spun. It would've been fun!
Ahaha... no... but he did trip over a wheelbarrow, and crack his head. It was nearly spinning.

Re: The Dead Character Thread
I want to say how much I miss a few of my old chars;
Sylvia, the hermit in Kaliwest Forest who was mauled by animals in a matter of hours while on a resource run. I hope people were able to prosper from what she accomplished in her forest.
Kayla, the 'councilor' of Scarab Haunt. She was one of my favorites to play for a very long time, until she lost her best friend when another of her friends went psychotic. I'll always miss Libby the most, even if he wasn't my char. He made Kayla who she was and she couldn't gather the strength to keep going on without him.
Candy, from Bhak. She was one of the most fun to play, and the only badass char I've ever had. She'll stick in my memory forever, along with everyone who made her the way she was.
Terra/Tsura, from Doryiskom. I've probably mentioned her here before, but Dory was my favorite town because of her, her two favorite men, and her wonderful sisters. It would've been so boring without all of you.
Jypsie, who met a stranger a few days after spawning and spent seven years traveling with him before they admitted their feelings for each other. I think I remember him starving a few days before her.
Rain, the child-like mute who spawned and died in the desert, but spent most of her short life in Zuzi. She had fun there with the chars she interacted with, and she loved them very much. Her real name was Cyra, but she could never tell anyone that, and she liked the name Rain.
Rei. I can't remember the name of her town, but she was the baker and madly in love with the blacksmilth. I'm sorry she never woke up.
