Thought or Rant of the day!!!

Grrr.. got a photographic speeding ticket in the mail because my son drove 68 in a 50MPH work zone. In 32 years I've never gotten a speeding ticket (because I never speed) and now this, when he's been driving for less than 6 months? (Yes, I AM ratting him out to the state).

I try never to go more than 5mph over the speed limit, although sometimes I'll be on a two-lane road with nobody in front of me and a speed limit less than 55mph and I end up cruising and not checking the spedometer as much as I should, or I'll be anticipating a speed change on a road I'm quite familiar with (and those tend to be the roads with more frequent speed traps).

I think my cat will be dying today. Old age, he's very weak, I gave him some milk and that he does drink but nothing else. no eating. And he already wanted to go outside since days and when he was outside he was laying at the same place the entire time. So I think he's feeling that he's going to die. Staying home today to keep an eye on him. But it would surprise me if he lasts the day or even the weekend. Not easy for me, since I have known him for over 18 years.

Well he might last the day as I can see it. He keeps up drinking milk once in a while but he's so weak he unlikely will make it through the weekend, but on the other hand. He always has been a fighter

just got back from the vet, and he's very sick. his heart, his kidneys and more. even with successful treatment, he won't live longer than a month

If he would have been in too much pain we would have let him put to sleep. but hopefully with treatment he can have a nice few last weeks

As for me... Effin telephone! No, I don't want any insurance (the irony!!!), no, I have a brand new roll up garage door thank you, and no, it is my house not that of Mr X!!!

Door-to-door-salesmen... They absolutely disgust me.

It's like.. When you're walking through a mall, and normally you just look around, see something nice, go into the store and then decide if you want to buy it.
But with the door-to-door-salesmen... It's like walking through a mall, a shop-owner comes out with a pair of pants, pushes it in your face and shouting "HERE, BUY THIS!".

Just not the way it should be.. lol

My cat will be put to sleep tomorrow. He lets everything go, if people know what I mean. And he was laying in it. So we will go to the vet tomorrow to get him to sleep. I decided I want to be there when he gets the injection. Even though it might not be a nice sight. It's more of a closure to me. I mean he would have been 19 next month, we got him when he was a few months old. He has been there for almost my whole life, at least the part I can remember. It would feel wrong not to be at his side when he dies as I have that option.

I hope you will feel much better soon, Chroma.

They just sleep Arenti, I had to do this with my dog who had cancer. It was almost surreal. I waited for her to wake, flinch.. anything, but she just slept.. If you have had her for 19 years.. be there.. it is a regret you can never take back if you don't.
