I am sure this knowledge I am about to share isnt a CR breech because you only know of the wave crasher from this post already... to set your mind at ease, the wave crasher sailed away from Siom for many many many years straight out to sea and then I got bored so I turned. I don't know how long I travelled before I turned or which way I turned.

So if you are mapping the coast along Siom, I have no news for you, good or bad. I could be back on the Siom continent or I could be in La-La Land, who knows except those that are looking down on me now. Good Luck.

Wouldn't that just be a temptation to cheat? Say...you hear that you're not getting anywhere. And your character has been watchint the waves on this course for days. So they 'get bored' and change angle...

and as a note... its rather difficult to gauge direction properly when east is south. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

i know i started out going right across the screen, then south and then right and then south. well, i reversed that and still no land.... grrrrrrrrr

North will ALWAYS be North. South will always be South. West will always be West. And East will always be East.

However, your silly little map was dropped on the ground and turned to the side by 90 degrees. North is still north, but the direction of north is right (Or East. But it's still North!). South is still south, but left. West is a silly man. But the DIRECTION West is still West, well, not West himself, but is still the direction West, but really up. However, West, the person, is usually down. East on the other hand, still being East, is down. Interesting, you think?

so wait wait wait.... east is down, and west is up. that makes north... to the right of the screen twords my right hand???? and south twords my left hand. right?

i've gotten used to west being up and it's quite natural for me now. then rigel starseeker has to go and turn his map on its side with west being left of all things. what would insight some one to do something so odd? there's not even a compass rose on it to clear up people's confusion. well, i assure you, when my character comes out with her visual map, west will be up like it's supposed to be.

Yes, you are correct. 90 is down on the map, but East in the game. 180 is left on the map, but South in the game. 360 and 0 are right, but North in the game. And 270 is up on the map, but West in the game.
