I don't even know what you mean by "ship". Unless you mean the Norse ship the Skidbladnir, but I don't see how that's relevant to my rant.

Weeeird. Of course, I never had any contact with the fandom during the time I watched it, so any ship other than the canon ones seems weird to me.
