I could also be on board with having them on the right if they were properly aligned.

Re: Improve the People tab!
Now width of the buttons' TD is static regardless the number of them visible (some are invisible when working). Something could be done to avoid that empty-space problem, but that blank area exists only sometimes.
Right align of the buttons look quite nice. Maybe we can go further and replace "Man" or "Woman" information with the image? Status information would be shorter and everything would be harmonic.
i.e. action buttons on the left, name in the middle, status on the right.

These
symbols are already used in the game in the description popup, so the only thing to do with them is resize and maybe add background.
OR that idea+Echoman's first idea [with all action buttons visible]:

Advantage of that idea: with icons just next to the name there is no way to make a mistake when trying to find out which person is related to the certain set of status icons.
EDIT: Of course in my opinion last one is the best one.

Greek, I'm converted. No more picture scrabble comments from me!
The last image you show is great. I love it.

I like that idea! It would make things less confusing if there should happen to be any transgender characters in Cantr.

I like the column view with status on the right. The other view has too many icons clustered together on the left.
With injury, I hope that we can ignore small ones (which many characters seem to have from sparring or S&M) or have different icons indicating severity of the injury.

I prefer this one. It looks far neater, and I still like having the status buttons more separated from the action buttons than by a mere male/female icon. For some reason, having them on the left doesn't make sense to my brain.

I vote the buttons be implemented on the left side by default (left just makes more sense to me, all the icons in one place), but we have the option to have them displayed on the right side (player settings) if we want. Or vice versa.

Yeah, I think about this from some time. We should slowly add some flexibility to game by adding options like this one. So I vote for adding option left/right for status icons

I am 100% for more options on things like that.

Re: Improve the People tab!
Hello, to let you know that I didn't forget about that idea: I looked at the code and added the suggested change. It's the first picture of automatically generated status icons set and looks like that:

(quick bugfix of empty space problem is, as you can see, included)
Despite the fact it's not yet ready, then needs strict testing and there are many other ready great improvements awaiting in queue to be put LIVE I think it's not very distant future to see it in the game.
As it's not a final version there is still possibility of suggesting something related to this idea.
Possibility of setting position (left/right) of the buttons could be implemented after the settings page overhaul (to avoid mess, both in code and options page).

Re: Improve the People tab!
Thank you so much to everyone that made this happen. Sorry I dozed off a bit after dropping the idea and wasn't around to help with all the hard work. It's every bit as good as I had hoped it would be thanks to you guys!

I love it too, so easy to see the hungry ones now, and know who is working.
Is there any possibility these icons will be used on our player page? So we can see when each of our chars are hungry or injured? (I would leave off the working on, I don't want to lose the percentage worked that we have now)
