Thought of the day:

Well, actually I have two.

1.) I really miss TaeKwonDo. I only did it for about two months last year before more important classes got in the way of me sticking with it enough to keep up. But it was both humiliating and empowering...during the warm up the instructor worked us until our muscles about gave out, but I miss kicking the crap out of bags and sparring against dudes that could probably break me in half. Maybe when I have a little kid I can find a class that kids and parents can take together.

2.) Monday evening. I have the house to myself. Still, the night will be spent listening to awesome beats through my Skull Candies. I downloaded a few hours of nerdcore hiphop awhile back, so it should be enough to last me for the night.

Rant: Screw this. I am not doing this term paper. I'm just not. The return is not worth even a little bit of the investment. This professor does his grades on a straight 100-point scale. The first two tests were worth 30 points each and the final will be worth 40 because he's tacking a fourth question on. So that's a total of 100 points and where does this ridiculous paper come in? It's worth FIVE points, tacked on to the 100 and does not affect the scale at all. He just expanded it so that an A is 90-105 points instead of 90-100. Screw that forever. Except that I'm an idiot and keep trying to convince myself to do it anyway, with reasoning like, "What if you somehow bomb the final and get less than a 33? How will your insanity take it if 1-3 extra points would've tossed you back into A territory?"

I now understand why my dad never wanted me to apply for a staff position, even though I've wanted to but haven't out of respect for him.

I figured all this out while reading The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, and I might sound a bit like a conspiracy theorist, but...
He's Pap and I'm Huck in this instance. (Well, without the smoking and the whiskey and the money thieving and the physical abuse.) He can't stand it that I'll ever rank over him in any aspect. I mean, I already take precedent with driving, math skills, change in my wallet, Snick's affections, musical aptitudes,.....
So to "even the playing field", he joins PD and now has complete control over what I can post and can't post on the Cantr forums, and can cancel my account anytime he wants.


I'm scared now. I really am. As if being forced to respect him due to the whole parent-child thing weren't bad enough.

Well, as a PD member, he certainly can't do anything he wants. He's required to respect your presence here just like anyone else. He's well within his rights as your parent to tie you to a chair so you can't play Cantr, but he can't go deleting your account or posts. (he can make -you- delete your account :p )

lol...your dad never joined PD to have power over you and the reason he does not want you to join is that you seem to have enough on your plate(homework, music, being my slave until you are 18 etc). I will spare embarrassing you here (like you just did to me) with some of the other reasons, but we will talk.

We don't have any rope here and since you have driving privileges over me atm, I doubt you would drive me to the Home Despot to get some rope. That means tying you to the chair is not an option....

However, we do have plenty of duct tape.

Hey, my mom keeps trying to tell me the nasty virus I picked up on my HP mini, that not only got rid of its ability to remember what program is used to open the icons on the desktop but also destroyed its ability to restore to factory settings, must have come from cantr, because it's what I'm on most.

I'd blame People of Walmart before I'd blame Cantr.

That's the kicker. I hate email, I rarely use it. The only things I bother opening are newsletters from a couple sites I've purchased from in the past, (and still do) and daily reports.

Sometimes I can't help but think computers just hate me because I seem to be the only one in my generation that doesn't understand them, while everyone else is so tech-savvy.
