Playing Cantr at work?

Postby formerly known as hf » Fri Aug 06, 2004 3:01 pm

Ok, I guess it can't be many people (as I always find a lot more happens later in the evening) But I'm wondering how many other people play Cantr at work?

I work in an office, and it gets a little slow sometimes, which is when I log into cantr (which is why I like it so much - it has just the right pace for this kind of casual logging in)

Bear in mind that eveing for us UKers is not evening for the huge numbers who play from America.

No, I don't play from work - as its not a desk job.

Yeah, I realised that after I posted this.

It makes sense though about it being more busy in the evening, whilst I'm logged on at work from 9 to five, american players are probably asleep as it'll be their morning, and UK players... well, they're proabably asleep too...

I usually log in at school, when I have the change. Just checking my chars, and continueing the lesson (or else the teacher will get mad).

But most of the time I play is in the afternoon and evening.

I probably spend more time playing games than actually working...but I only have that job over the summer :)

I play when I can at work. I have a semi-desk job that gives me access to a computer, so I'll check in during the moringing (EST) just to see what all the European players are up to.

Then I get off work and play in the evening as well. Cuz I'm addicted.

I ONLY get chance to play at work ;) I work 9-6 Monday to Friday. I don't really get chance to play out of work because I work doing free lance design and the rest of the time I'm a club promoter which ties up my late nights and whole weekend. So I only get chance to play at work haha.

My work's really been suffering the last few weeks! Need to stop playing before I get fired heh

During between classes and breaks, I usually check once a day.

Fortunately, I'm free to be on cantr a lot more often during the summer, since I don't have a summer job and am living cheap atm. :D

this thread brings to mind a question i have ad for a while....

when is morning in cantr time and when is night?????? this should get figured out. I feel silly waking up and saying g'morning when its 8am my time and 7pm to the person who responds.

I usually pretend that around 4 'cantr' o'clock is about noon. And 1~8 o'clock is night. So around 2~3 o'clock would be morning in Cantr. But I usually don't say goodnight or goodmorning in the english part. In the dutch part, I do. But there's everyone in the same timezone ;).
