It was a fairly small one as earthquakes go (5.8), but the largest one ever recorded in that area. We're not used to those things in this part of the country (and apparently, from what I've read, the geology of the Eastern US makes it felt over a much wider area than those of comparable size in the Western US. This was felt from New York to Georgia to Ohio). There were no deaths reported. My wife did feel the 4.2 aftershock in the evening (although here, we felt nothing).

I loathe Saturdays.

I despise this building. Why do they keep taking all that is good and right with this building and ruining it?

My neck is killing me, stupid ears.

Because this building is idiotic and apparently does not believe in electric sockets, my laptop battery is run down and almost dead just from my doing homework (Yes, homework due on the first freaking day of classes) and I will, therefore, have no laptop to use during chemistry. What am I suppose to do without a laptop to play on, pay attention!?

I'm being dramatic, but my neck really does hurt like hell =\

On Monday I switched from third shift to first shift at work. I thought that would be a good idea..

Monday night I went to some Parkour Free Running gym class thing, where we did a lot of rolling, jumping, landing, and some attempts at flipping.
Rant:
It's Wednesday, and it's so painful..ankles, thighs, wrists, and more. I haven't been doing much running the past couple months, so I was relatively out of shape. It hurts every time I bend my knees, other than sitting (sometimes). Sitting hurts too. Going down steps is like torture..I eventually found that sitting on the steps and going down one step at a time seems to be the least painful method, and that's after ibuprofin would have taken effect. It takes like 4 seconds to bend my knees all the way. I've tried going faster; my body just won't.
Fortunately I already had a wrist brace for my left wrist, because I use my left wrist a lot at my job.
I find it annoying having to walk slow. Now distance matters..I can't just run.

I've just sold my soul and free time to school again, hopefully for the last time.

On a somewhat related note, I've noticed that when I get together with friends, it's usually not "Hey, let's go out and do something fun!" It's more along the lines of: "Dude, I need shirts." "Awesome, I need bras! Let's call Brother and get together!" Yesterday, I went out with former roomie and an old friend that just moved back to Austin because roomie needed to go to the bank and pay a bill and the old friend needed to replace some things she lost in the move. I got a colander! I was also physically dragged into a GameStop by the former roomie, who is smaller than me (and clearly a WEREWOLF), and forced to preorder Skyrim.

Starting school in August in Texas or any other hot place just seems cruel. My campus is built on a hill so there's either a lot of hiking or a lot of standing around waiting for a bus and everyone is tired, out of breath, and soaking wet when they get to class.

Tomorrow: Band camp^3.

Basically tomorrow's schedule is school from 7-14:30, then band rehearsal from 15-17:30, and then the football game I have to perform at from 19:30-~22orwheneveritends, but I have to be there at 18:30, so obviously I'm not going home between rehearsal and the game.

That's at least 15 hours at school, by the way. Fifteen hours of incessantly racking my brains and my body just to make it through the entire day and still have enough energy to take a shower and collapse in bed afterwards.

Thought: My neck still ails me.

We talking the old cartoon show from the early 80s? My players and I loved that show when it was first on (you know, before most of you were born ;-) ).

Subject #2: Went to a wedding last night (daughter of my wife's coworker). Around 1000 guests for the ceremony, and 400 for dinner. (And I don't know HOW many rabbis. At least a dozen, but probably many more than that). I dunno. I thoroughly didn't enjoy myself, unlike usual at weddings. Didn't even dance. Most of the time, when I wasn't eating, I just hid out in the synagogue library, reading. Dunno if it was the alcohol, or the fact that I don't really know anyone in the wedding party, or just my usual social awkwardness/introversion, or the fact that I wasn't sitting with my wife (this last bit is fairly typical for Orthodox Jewish weddings, so I'm used to it, but still...)

That one! I remember having one or two nightmares with Venger.
But it's one of the best cartoon series ever!
