All anime looks effeminate. The only way to make an anime guy look like a guy is to give him crazy hair and scars. I honestly can't form an opinion if the avi looks male or female. Pretty androgynous.

That's only true if you use the standard face. I've seen quite a lot of characters who were very clearly male. Having a chin you can't take an eye out with helps a lot.

Good. Honestly what I'm going for. I'm pretty much a tomboy when it comes to style, but I've got to retain at least some femininity for my boyfriend's sake.

The avi is Haruhi from Ouran High School Host Club. Its an awesome anime and is on Netflix watch instantly if anyone is interested. Too bad I spoiled the big surprise, but its already been done...the entire first episode Haruhi is portrayed as a boy and its not until the end that you find out she's actually a girl.
