Being eight years old at the time this happened, it was traumatizing. XD
It's funny the contrast between then and the second time I had blood drawn. I was so determined to be calm and cool, and I was, and it wasn't nearly as bad as I had remembered it. In fact, the most painful part was when she was pulling out the needle, and that was because the nurse pressed a little too hard on the cotton ball. The nurse was even impressed at how calm I was acting, and I was like, "Oh, I'm definitely nervous. My heart's pounding." The nurse said, "Really?" incredulously. It was easy. Ridiculously easy.

A $200 buck pending charge showed up on my account yesterday, and I haven't used my card in 2-3 days, and I have no idea where the charge is coming from.

I lost four-and-a-half pounds since the last time I weighed myself (about a week ago). I told my mom, and she's trying to pin it on my thyroid. She's probably going to have me taken to the doctor again and have blood drawn to check it. But I don't know how soon.

I know this, though. Whenever I do go, she's not coming in the room with me.

Ahh how old are you Snickie? I work in the medical field. Anyone 16 or younger has a parent or guardian in the room with them. (by my choice) If you mean blood draw, that may be a bit different.

Close enough to 16 to pass. Last (and second) time I had blood drawn I was 14, and my dad was waiting in the hall while I got it done; I was in the room with a female nurse, it was fine.

Blood draw what? All I know is they stick the needle in your arm, the blood goes into the tubes, the needle comes out, and I'm done.

okay, thats what I meant, getting your blood drawn. And if the patient has yet to reach 17 I require an adult in the room.. but I don't do blood draws so... and for me, gender is not consideration, only the age.

Just curious, why do you require a parent/guardian in the room when you draw blood from a <17yo?

I think she meant the age thing in general. It's usually a standard practice in most medical offices. It's a liability thing sort of for doctor's when a patient is young. This way, they ensure that two sets of ears heard the directions/instructions or whatever it is that they're being told. Sort of just handy to have another witness, in a way.

Smash. This looked way too long at normal size.
My mom now theorizes that my health issue is caused by problems with my thyroid. I wish she wouldn't theorize because then she worries more and I'd rather she didn't. It just ends up stressing her out since there's nothing that can be done if I do have any health problems.
I played Minecraft with the boyfriend and the brother for seven hours today.
I am worried about my kitty because she's suddenly started vomiting a lot these past few days.
I have been feeling kind of sick for the past day and I know not why.
The maintenance people apparently hate us and refuse to respond to any of our maintenance requests, even if they involve what they categorize as emergencies.
I'm really worried about my kitty because I am crazy.
Like, really. Really worried.
I feel like my brain is getting mushy without school.
I heard from an old friend days after I had decided it was best that we didn't stay in touch anymore. We'll still go months without communicating so it doesn't make a difference, but it kinda made me laugh.
I hate hate hate our bed and also that the boyfriend is still bad at sharing even after we've been living together for 4.5 years. Granted, I spent most of my time in the dorms for a while, but still.
It hurts to move. I'm not sure why, but it's getting on my nerves. I could hardly walk when I got up this morning.
Dishonor on you, dishonor on your cow...
