To the player of B`Ellana Torres
Chances are the intended recipient won't see this, but I might as well try.
Many people in cantr are willing to help...but often only in the form of OOC advice. Most players aren't anti-social or anti-new player, but many characters are much stricter. If you need game directions, ask OOC or post on the forum. If you need handouts or general IC mercy, be careful who you ask. Characters are often lacking in both.

Unfortunately, I don't know the events surrounding the incident with this character, but if you think someone should speak to this player, Industriallist, please send myself or another PD member the information in question.
Many times, a char will find someone who will take the time to show them the ropes, at least the basics. I know I do when I can, but it does eat up valuable minutes. It is better for players to be given the information they need OOC, as well as to be directed where they can find more.

Have you read the latest review on MPOGD.com? Ok, it takes a certain kind of person to have the most of Cantr, but there must be a seed of truth there if someone says they've only encountered nasty people. I think the community of Cantr is mostly nice and it's really bad luck if someone meets so many annoying characters on their first days that they simply quit. I should think everyone knows the difference between RP:ing a rude character and being rude. Think about this, if a noob comes begging for food Gahak will give him some though his motives are to make the nuissance shut up for a while.
We've all been newbies once, so we should understand the confusion. I remember the first days, I picked up things just because they seemed my character might need them, I didn't know that food is consumed automatically, I thought the sleeper in my location was an NPC because she had no name (other than a woman in her twenties), I got tired waiting since my first project (burying a corpse) didn't progress in minutes and so on...

My first char was spawned in the woods of Aki island, alone, hungry with no sustainable food around him, JUST DAYS BEFORE THE ANIMAL RAMPAGE STARTED...

I had to deal with learning the game from scratch in the starting situation from hell. And when I met other characters, I still didn't complain, beg, or whine....
...the animals ate me.

noobs have to be treated nice. at least thats what i think. depending on which one of my charries they run into for help i try to get them to help me in return. I have been trying to recruit people mainly noobs so that they can have jobs and aid me when i need some blood spilled.

MWAHAHAHA! Same here.![]()
Lucky us.
Yeah, I sometimes help newer players (PC Term?) with some food in character. And tell them OOC to visit the forums
