It's not failure to pay bills. Its failure to get hosting that costs more then 3 dollars a month and getting kicked off because they are using too many system resources from poor programming practices mixed with too many people for the system to support it.

No Seko, I was just calling him a troll. One we've seen before under another name. There's a handful of repeat has-beens in regards to games and bannings and killings, and I seem to be able to spot them. I'll leave it up to the community to figure out which one he is

I played my babies fine but I still got killed..only with the Kindred never any one else..other then guy a brother who went nuts or something. The kindred killed more of their kids more then most. I played 3 chars. played 2 long term and the other i kept being born human lol. then a dwarf but that was one a brother killed me.

See these forums seem nice as well the FTO was less then nice to newcomers.

I was a Kindred, I never killed one child ever. That said... most died when we stopped feeding them if they weren't active...

FTO is back up. I just got the email and logged in. Now back to waiting in a queue 100 people long.

I've seen two other characters awake, maybe 3. There appears to be a very strict limit on play time, if you thought 200 minutes in Cantr was bad, try 20-something! Now I have 16 minutes left.

Is it even worth it then? I've never played and it'll probably be a few months before I even get started...

EDIT: Lol...now I'm thinking its not. I actually moved back five places in queue within just a few hours.

Must be all the people checking their email and coming back. Hopefully the time limit will be increased but who's to say if there are any players left eventually to make babies.

Yeah, and that's assuming the game won't break again or however you want to describe what happened to it before. I'll keep checking, I guess, but I won't hold my breath for it.

Masterekat, I have an acct very near the front of the queue you can have. I'm not sure if people will be mating much right now due to the time limit (har har...not for THAT reason). I was discussing holding off on the bebe-makin with the player of my char's mate because there's no time to RP with the kids or even cook and take care of them.

The time was originally set at 10 min. That was barely enough time to log into 3 accts and make sure your chars had food. Nothing else. At least with 30 min there's time to talk once or twice. Hopefully he'll increase it again soon or find some other way for the server to handle his bloated code.

I just checked and it's now at spot 14. When the game first came back online it was at number 2. There's only 1 pregnant right now so it could still be a good wait. I'll PM you the info. I already have 3 chars because I took over an acct for someone after putting this 1 in the queue, so technically I'm not even supposed to have it.

I don't understand that they haven't fixed the fundamental flaw with their concept yet, after having been chastised for using too much server resources.

It's simple, really. Don't refresh every single frame every time something happens, just refresh those that actually had something happen to them. I guess the code to do that is too tricky.

Ok, so I'm in.
I've got a kindred girl, and a half-kindred boy (found out I've still got my accounts memorise by my browser at home - by the way, for some reason I have access to the account 'tariel' as well, and I'm sure as hell it's not mine )

1. the account-merging system is BS
I have merged my 2 accounts yesterday, and got 2 notifications for births today - yet there was only 1 baby on the main account. The other was born onto the merged one. So I merged them again - and now I have a double in deceased characters section
Also I can still perfectly comfortably enter the merged account and play the 2nd baby from either that or main account. Useful, as it gives a double playtime limit, although it doesn't really matter because:

2. the playtime limit is BS
I log out, log in, and it just reset

There's still
3. programming and code optimality is BS
but I think everybody knows that one.

Of course I won't post in anywhere for Lumin He bans people for such things, right?

How comes my baby boy (and his baby brother as well) is half-kindred while everybody else, including parents and my baby sister, are kutari?
