Snickie, don't screw around. Get your parents to take you to a doctor... NAO! If it's bothering you enough to write us about it, it's worth looking into.

I do not want to go to the doctor, especially since it's waaaaay out of our way.
Plus, I have a ton of band stuff coming up that I absolutely cannot miss. Without counting weekends (this one isn't free anyway), next Friday is the first day I can go without sacrificing anything else band (all this stuff is mandatory for me for next year), and by then the problem will probably be gone.
Plus, my mom is the type to over-react. I don't want to have to deal with that.
Mom: "You're in pain?! Where?! We're going to take you to a hospital."
*we get to hospital*
*she doesn't let me talk very much and portrays the problem to be something far worse than it actually is*
It's not that inaccurate, actually.

Well, perhaps I'm oversensitive because what I thought was gas one day at work turned out to be appendicitis (thirty years later, my son was able to self-diagnose his appendicitis. Guess he was smarter than me), and because of my brother suddenly dropping dead in my house. But still...

Re: Thought or Rant of the day!!!

The pains were gone all of yesterday, and they were gone until around forty-five minutes ago, they're back now, on both sides but just in front, and I noticed while in the car that they weren't as severe (they're not that severe overall, actually) when I slouch forward rather than when I sit straight back against the seat. This is usually the case for me and my gastrointestinal pains in any other circumstance, so it's not enough to really worry me at the moment. Plus, I haven't had that much to eat today, so that could be part of it.

I made a brain surgery and one of heart (the latest post-mortem). So if you see it, come to where my doctor is.

Either you have a low tolerance to pain, or an issue worth looking into.
Don't tell me your symptoms, I am on the wrong side of the planet, don't really know you and don't have the knowledge to perform diagnosis.
Then again I live in a society where health-care is free. No amount of money is worth getting medical complications over.
If you cant walk it off over three days, seek professional health, or be big tough and strong and risk dying or having expensive complications.

Re: Thought or Rant of the day!!!
Actually I have a pretty high pain tolerance. As I said before, it's not that bad of a pain, mostly just annoying enough to complain about. Although earlier today, (I was at the school filing stuff in the band library) I just randomly got overheated, my stomach hurt, I got a little dizzy, and the pain was there on the right side (but it wasn't first and forefront; it was more an afterthought). I wasn't even doing anything strenuous. I had to sit down, and then the band director asked if anybody wanted to work the computer, and I was like, "YES." It went away pretty quickly after that. Maybe I just needed to sit down (I was standing when it happened, and in something of a 7x10ft room with five other people, and half of that space is taken up by filing cabinets).
We went to Burger King for lunch. It was so weird eating fast food.
Oh, and the band director had his three-year-old son there, who labelled me as "the Monster", and every time one of us would open the door he would scream at me and be like, "RAHWR!!!!" We started drawing pictures and sliding it under the door, and he would tear them up and send scribbles back. He's so cute. <3 His father was a monster too, by the way.

Mixing up some chili today. Luckily, none of you have any idea how jealous you should be.

Re: Thought or Rant of the day!!!
I started working third shift and a little less than 40 hours a week. I chose to do third shift, so I can do stuff during the day, and no one else wants it anyway. However, I learned that I have less time now than I did during the school year, not more time, particularly because of two online classes I need to do that I was putting off until the summer.

Re: Thought or Rant of the day!!!
Rant: I have my last/only final tomorrow. It's annoying because I've been done with school for the past week and now suddenly must study again. It's for my blow-off class, though, so I'm sure it'll be fine. I actually didn't realize I had a blow-off class until just this moment, but it definitely fits the criteria. On the plus side, I think I have As locked down in 3/5 classes and tomorrow's final should result in a fourth.
Thought: I'm more concerned with remembering to print out my Chegg stuff while I'm on campus tomorrow so I can send my books back. There's also some sort of certificate that I want to pick up just because I have no idea what it's for and I am curious.

That makes me sad to hear, MelloYell, despite whatever might be the reaon for it. It's never happened in my family, but I've seen fratenal relationships severed in my my wife's family. I hope for a reconcilliation down the road, even if it takes decades.
Snick, curious, what did you eat there, since you've mentioned you hate beef? Fish sandwich?
And now the big Rant: Remember a few months ago when it was announced my kids' high school wouild close at the end of year, causing us to scramble to find a placement for kid #2 and 3 for next year? Well, they just announced in a meeting last night, that despite all the assurances to the contrary in February, the rest of the school (pre-K through 8th) would also close at the end of the year, screwing my remaining two kids. Ummm.. hello? It's already May! How are we supposed to go about finding someplace for them when application process for Jewish schools typically are Jan-Feb?? And financial aid is probably already closed? *SIGH!!!!*

Well knowing that this is going to happen, maybe there is some kind of letter that can be given to you. Maybe someone would make an exception.. especially with it being so late in the year to find out that officially the school will close. I'm not sure if another school will but it's worth a try.
