Game like Cantr II?
Im looking for another game like Cantr (Not that I want to play it!). Its actually a perticular game I saw an ad for on this forum a few years ago and was in dev at the time I just want to know is it done yet. However I forget the name and the only reason I know of it is one of the users on the Cantr II forums had a link to it in his/her user sig. Does anybody remember its name? I think its started with the letter 'E' and the ad had a picture of an earth-like planet in it.

Reveri.es? Chase02's sig has an earth-like planet in it.
There is a thread about it here. I think the game is in closed beta atm.

However, none of them are online at the moment.

This is seriously bad mojo for Cantr to be similar to those games. All games offline?

Yeah, I totally dropped the ball when I got five random emails from people that created a character, said "crafting's not finished? Help files crashed? this sucks, you suck, STFU N00b, if you are going to make a game, actually make it good, not crap, kk thxbai." ... or quite similar.
I got rather disheartened, and jsut stopped developing it lately.
Maybe I should work on things again, but may need help. I'm not the best coder and am teaching myself PHP again in the process of making Everthorn Pond, so it's rather ..um.. simplistic now. There's good features and potentials, I can feel it, I just lost my willpower to code the past few months (and was in that scary new-job-seeking place, so didn't have much time)

Re: Game like Cantr II?
People are quick to judge. Cantr once got a complaint from a newbie who couldn't exit a vehicle, either they couldn't find the button or they were working on a project - instead of considering the possibility that they might not understand the interface, they immediately assumed that because the game is mentioned as being beta, we must not have implemented a way to exist a vehicle. Also there have been players who couldn't figure out how to get to the actual game because clicking on an icon in front of a character name seems unintuitive.

I remember the third day I was on Cantr, my character was singing really loudly and badly, and somebody suggested I go inside. Well, at the time my character was farming potatoes, and I was still new to the game and the interface, so I was looking around for the "enter building" button, and for the life of me I couldn't find it. So I tried RPing it out ("*glances back at the potatoes a bit uncomfortably* I wanna finish these potatoes first."), and somebody OOC'd me asking if I was having trouble. They told me to click the X on the project thing, so I went to the page of the actual project and clicked the X there, and it said "There has been work done already on this project." And so I tell them it didn't work, and it took several explanations before I finally got that they meant the x above the 'Objects' and 'Activity' tabs. So I click on it, and I find the "enter this building" button. Hooray! I went to click the button.
The building turned out to be locked.
Hooray for n00biness!

Moral of the story: Don't farm potatoes if you're planning to go inside somewhere.
No, I'm kidding. The point is, ask somebody, even if it's in-game, if you're having trouble, before assuming that the game is crap and quitting.
Why doesn't everyone see this?
