We were supposed to have 2 trailers with ramps helping us move this weekend, which was perfect because we have an upright piano that needs to be moved. Well, just found out they aren't going to be able to help us. The current plan? Find a new trailer. If that fails? Put the piano on a rolly thing and walk it down the street to our new house...which is about a mile or so away....up hills....ugh. Please trailer fairy, help me out!

Yay for the four day weekend!
A few bits and pieces: The new job rocks, even though it is a bit of a form churning exercise at times (as the type of cases I am dealing with are run on this specific process divided into stages), the amount of support is great. Very different than the last one, where I was the whole "department" .
It also reminded me why I had an assumed name (very briefly and mostly as a joke) as I had to repeat my name about 3 times in average to everyone I met. "Oh, your name looks nothing like how it sounds!" (I know, right) Is that Celtic? No. Funny as usual, seeing people squirm as they try their hardest not to offend me by getting it wrong.
Off to the fancy dress party in town with my Princess tomorrow. She's going as Cinderella, I'll probably be the wicked stepmother! Alright, alright, I fess up, I'm going as Belle.

Saturday I had agreed to house sit for my grandmother, who was going in for surgery this past Tuesday. Easter Sunday, however, my stepdad tried to hit my brother and may have struck at my mom, cops were called, etc., etc., and my mom, sisters and brother ended up moving into my grandmother's house. House sitting turned into a lengthy social call. Grandmother's surgery went okay, but then she went into anaphylactic shock (which has happened in the past, no one's quite sure what she's allergic to) and was put on a respirator. Her BP was 60/30 and apparently her organs were in danger of completely shutting down. That was Tuesday night and Wednesday morning. She's doing better now, as of Thursday night, which is great because my little brother just called to tell everyone he was in the ER, because he'd slit his hand open while riding his dirt bike. Apparently his hand had gotten caught in some rope and he was flung off the bike, and the rope ripped a good inch and a half through his hand. He's gotten stitched up, and the doctors said he probably won't need surgery as it doesn't look like he's severed any tendons. For the past few days, I've been sleeping on the couch with the dog, who I'm deathly allergic to, with maybe 3-5 hours of sleep a night, gorging myself on food, and getting online only after everybody else has passed out asleep.

And I'm so goddamn tired of all these William and Kate specials on TV.

Don't know why they backed out, but the trailer fairies have helped me and we are getting a u-haul! Woo-hoo. (oh, and don't know when I will be able to get on cantr next due to moving internet. please take care to not doing anything crazy that I will be sad for missing...thanks...blargh to no internet!)
