I just got back from the dentist, who decided to steal one of my teeth. It didn't hurt nearly as much as the last time, but she couldn't prescribe painkillers because of my problems with drugs, so I'm stuck with my ibuprofen. My mother's solution was to buy me alcohol. The numbness has worn off enough that I'm starting to hurt, but the entire lower right side of my jaw is numb, so I cannot eat anything so I cannot take any drugs so I feel very whiny right now. Whine, whine, whiiiiiine.

I wish I knew where the pictures were from the time I sliced open my hand fighting over a pair of scissors. The other person wanted to take them away because I "was going to hurt someone", and I was holding them by the blade when they yanked them out of my hand.
You can still see the scar in the flap of skin between thumb and pointer finger? The one you put salt in when you do tequila shots? That was sliced open so bad I was leaking blood everywhere and I could actually see inside of my hand. It was freaky.
It wasn't like Seko's, though, which looks like it's blood blistered a bit and I hate those they're worse than nails on a chalkboard to me eeeugh.
I'm talking too much, perhaps, but I've been awake all of 5 minutes and haven't had any soda so my brain's not quite running yet.

Comy...there is a natural remedy.

Make a paste out of Real Vanilla extract (not imitation) and ground cloves and apply it to the area. At least that works for toothaches, not totally sure about stolen teeth but I can't see why it wouldn't work.

Ibuprofen is the best thing you can use for tooth pain. I had a root canal and kickass pain killers were doing nothing for me. I took 4 ibuprofen (800 mg) and the pain was gone. Pain killers try to kill the pain, but often with teeth its too much pain to kill. ibuprofen gets rid of the inflammation which is what typically causes the pain.

Natural vanilla works, but so do cloves. That paste probably works, but i just put vanilla on a qtip or take a capful on that side of the mouth.
I think cloves are supposed to work better. I never have any, so i've never tested.

I actually meant cloves, its been a long time. Crap, I hope nobody went shopping. Oh, and be careful with nutmeg, it actually has hallucinogenic properties if you eat a goodly amount.

You have to take 1 TBSP per 25 pounds of your weight. It takes a lot, its also poisonious in those amounts.

I hadn't heard that nutmeg is hallucinogenic but had heard about it being poisonous in high doses.

Thanks for the advice. I'll definitely give it a try, since the tooth being stolen isn't going to stop the pain this time.

I took 1 ibuprofen and it seems to have helped at least a little. I'm afraid to take more because there isn't anyone here to watch me and I have this fear that it's suddenly going to start affecting me like tylenol and aspirin (which worked fine until, suddenly, they didn't) and my throat will close up and I'll die. Hi, I'm neurotic.

Really unhappy right now.Today was just a sucktastic day, probably the worst ever. I'm exhausted for no real reason and mad as hell and frustrated with people I work with for being so bloody flaky and useless. Argh. I really just need some time off, but I can't afford it. Wish I could care more about school, but I'm just too damn uninterested and prospects for school and finishing are just looking absolutely impossible right now. Then all the crap with court, it got pushed back for a third mothereffin' time, once again because my lawyer is an idiot!
Looking forward to the month of May and hopefully, hopefully, getting at least the first half of the month off with the excuse of finals just so I can rest before I sell my soul for drugs.

Cloves are great! Mortar and pestle with a smear of oil and apply tropically. if you can find the right importer poppy seeds boiled up into a tea can be wonderful as well, but don't go there for more than a few days, expect some seeds to be useless and if you have an opiate issue don't go there at all. I have heard the same thing mentioned here about nutmeg, but the liver and kidney toxicity of psychotropic dosages means I have never tested it.

Tested the cloves out on a smacky friend of mine, you can have trashed that set of neuro-receptors and still get relief.
