Cantr transcript reversing program
I've just finished a program which seems to be reliably capable of correctly changing Cantr transcripts from bottom-up order to top-down. I would be happy to make this available, but I don't have a server to make it accessable from. It's an executable JAR file, so it ought to be usable on any computer (provided you have java...)
If people want I might be able to make an applet out of it instead. I'm not to sure about that. Certainly not until the weekend.

If I made it an applet, it would do that, but it will take me some time to get there. As it is it takes from one text file and saves to another. First an "open file" dialog box for the input, then a "save" dialog box for the output, then it does its work with no interface whatsoever.
It knows how to identify the first line of a cantr event (by its datestamp, incidentally) and uses that to split the input into events, which it then outputs in the opposite of the direction it read them in.

Multiline events aren't supposed to have their lines reversed
That part of it had me stumped a few months ago.
Then I was going to use the blank lines between events as a marker. But there are no such blank lines in email event reports.
ooh, I forgot to test it on those... It ought to work, but I have to check...

E-Mail reports are in the top-to-bottom order already, no?
And technically, there aren't any multiline events. Events are one line, where the end of the line is denoted by a CR/LF character.
It might be, though, that the editor you c/p it to adds such characters.
How would your application treat an event like this?
253-6: You say: "That's what I want to happen around 254-6: I want to talk about something important."

Your example would only cause a glitch if the second datestamp was right at the beginning of a line. If it were it would be regarded as a second event...
As for the multilining, if it is artificial on my end it could come from my browser or my OS, but I don't think from my editor. Could be wrong, I guess. Single line events handle fine too.
