Instead of one-upping each other to see who is the greatest superpower of vandalism, why don't you both show up and use a combined arms alliance of rotten eggs, crayons and other accessories that will make him think that Halloween has come early. Make sure that you leave a threatening note, written in crayon of course (with a unicorn on it!) that there is more where that came from!

You will probably be admitted to the cantr hall of fame on the first ballot.

Be well

The nice thing is that you won't have to travel far. But just know, that there are cookies that can be used as bribes.

On Wednesday he told me I need to get rid of everything fun in my life, everything that keeps me from doing homework, starting with the most time-consuming things first (a.k.a. Cantr). I told him that every time I've tried taking hiatuses from anywhere it's never lasted for more than a few days. EVER. (Except when I was forced.)

The thing that's most ironic about this now is that he's back and playing the game.

Well, then since there is no need to travel so far. I guess I will go ahead and eat these cookies.

It would be a shame for them to get stale.

Pushing through work faster so I can log on to Cantr?
Cursing all you Euro's and Yanks because you don't recognize sleep is for wimps and pass out before I hit prime time?
Spending that time reading back posts on the forum so I can have better informed opinions?
Ignoring that after fertilizing my garden beds with cow dung I have enough mushrooms to relive the 60's? (eat three and you'll forget that I wasn't alive then)
Fighting my way through the discomfort of having to struggle with code that I would have been able to dictate?

Problem? what problem?
The avalanche has begun, it is useless for the pebbles to vote.

My hubby once again yelled at me for playing "that damn game". *sighs*

My mom wants me to quit.
And it seems like now that every church sermon I go to, tells me to quit Cantr. So not it's gotten spiritual.
This is going to be hard. Give up Cantr, or disobey God?
I can't believe I've let it take this much control over my life.
But I can't bring myself to press the horrible green X.

:?

(Didn't mean to start a religious discussion, but really, everything I hear in church points to it. Me quitting, I mean. What is it doing that benefits my life? Nothing. It's my own stubbornness and addiction that keeps me coming back.)

What good does it do you to wear underwear everyday?

Seriously, kids these days lol.

When I was a young teen playing cantr, my family was glad that I wasn't out on the streets doing drugs, drinking, hanging with a bad crowd, selling my body, causing trouble, etc, and instead inside playing Cantr. Better to be at home having a viable creative outlet for myself where they can see me at all times, and where I'm surrounded by peers that get me, and identify with my likes and dislikes, and identify with my love of writing and creating in depth characters, unraveling a story right before my eyes, than out on the street doing unspeakable things and whatever!

Edit: If there's a god, and he tells you you shouldn't play cantr, then I tell you to get him a computer and an account. Seriously any God that's not pro-cantr is not a friend of mine.

My parents wouldn't let me even think of doing that stuff anyways. Instead, I'm in honors programs and band (which my mom frequently chaperones, and if she can't go then she won't let me go unless one of the band parents she really trusts is going too and signs some contract stating they will look after me). To her, Cantr is a distraction from all that. And she's right.

Of course, I might be exaggerating just a little bit about the whole contract thing. ;)

If she's right, and distractions are bad (which clearly you think they are, and not stress relief or anything fun like that) then quit. Nothing really left to say, huh? If you were looking for a mass of people telling you OH NO STAY with a million reasons why they don't want you to leave that boost your ego, then I'm sure the others will be here soon. I will leave you with this. Everything in life is a distraction from something else. Nothing is exempt from this.

I never defined either of our definitionss of distractions as good or bad. She says they're bad. I say it depends on the circumstances. Maybe in this case they are bad, but sometimes they're good. I think at this point she'll define almost anything that distracts me from Cantr as a good distraction.

Distraction. Noun. Something which takes your attention off of something else, that something else which you will most likely have to deal with again later.

Don't get me wrong, she wants me to have fun. She just doesn't think Cantr is the best, healthiest way to achieve that, especially considering how much time I spend on it.

Well, I'm not going to be your surrogate parent (yeah, more like an enabler) but it seems to me that if
a) it's not affecting your school work, band, etc.
b) it's not affecting your moral/religious beliefs
c) it acts as a stress relief from your typical angsty teenage girl life
d) it's not affecting your real life social interactions (they do still have those things in these days of the internet, don't they?).
e) you're avoiding "mature" situations IG
f) you're mature enough to give yourself a break from cantr when you do have pressing other needs (school/church, etc), which you have indeed shown yourself to be in the past

Then,
I don't really see it as a problem.
If you feel, for your own lack of internal controls, a need to limit the amount of time and hours of the day you play it, then by all means do so.
