This has happened to two of my characters, where they would be holding a lot already, and then when a project completes its output (an item in both cases, one being manufactured and one being repaired) ends up in their inventory, totalling the mass to be more than 15000g. I couldn't pick up anything else or be given anything at all.
I suspect this is happening with another character right now also, who is unfortunately asleep.
Is this a glitch?

It happens with repairs and a few other things. Not sure if it's considered a bug or feature but it's been like that since I started playing.

Re: carrying >15000g
So theoretically, a person could be carrying 14000g of food (nourishing and healing) and as many steel battle axes and crossbows and steel scutums as they want as long as the food was picked up before the repair projects ended?
Anyways, it helped save one of my characters' lives when it happened, though it did make her walking speed significantly slower than that of carrying just 15000g.

I had a char who was holding over 39kg at one point due to a bunch of heavy projects finishing before I bothered to set things down. I'm sure it would make walking down a road near impossible.

it would suck if this bug ends up causing the death of the char snick mentioned simply because the player is unable to get online and the char cant be fed by other chars.

It's already possible for someone to pick up or be given 15 kilos of inedible material, even without going over the limit. People simply shouldn't sleep for 20 days without food unless they're prepared to take the chance of dying.
