I miss my red hair. It wasn't red-red, it just had reddish-brown streaks. When I was in college my hair was dark and right at or below shoulder level. I had put blond-ish streaks in it. Then I did red streaking on top of it and wound up with something like black/DARK brown hair with auburn streaks. I miss it dearly. The only downside to it was on windy days.

Psh. I always had really blonde, straight hair, blue eyes, and really pale white skin. When I was younger, I wanted to be italian, or greek, or indian; dark skin, black hair, and dark eyes. Funny how we always want what we don't have.
I'm mostly happy with my coloring, now, although I still pine for curly hair now and again.

They say you get your mother's father's hair, but that is a complete load of crap. I've got my father's hair for sure.

I've got some of the straightest, thickest hair I've seen. And it's not just straight, it refuses to do anything else. When I was first growing my hair out, it grew straight out of my head for a good while before it lay down. It looked ridiculous.

My maternal grandfather was bald in his 20s, my dad is in his mid-50's and just now starting to get widow's peaks or whatever they're called.

On the other hand, I have exactly my mother's father's hair. Cow-licks and all. Over the summer I work outdoors a lot, and it's like every second hair gets bleached the blondest of blond. I'm doomed to some sandy salt and pepper when I get old.
