Thought or Rant of the day!!!

Yesterday, I had to "sleep" at hospital (taking care of my sister, but nothing to worry about...) and now I have terrible headache and I just want to sleep, but she doesn't. And I don't want to go tomorrow to the carnival parade (I must go like a guard, not dressed up...) I'm too tired...

Spain... We celebrate carnival but... no so... "magnificent" like in Brazil. Just little parade and people dressed up on the streets and childs playing and so on...

There's carnival in other countries than Brasil.

I know. But the biggest one's in Brazil, and it's the first one that comes to mind.
In America, we just call it Mardi Gras, lol.

They really only celebrate it in Louisiana, though.

Here schools and others have holidays until wednesday.
And the celebration is different depending on the city...
In my city we burn the "Meco" (a big doll who represent all the bad things of the year) and we bury the "sardine"

The Meco is funny, because on schools, the week before carnival, it gives orders to the children and they must obey. Orders like "tomorrow you all have to bring a hat" or something like that... And the last day before holiday it's burned and its last will is readed.

And a lot of women, dressed up like widows, went int the parade crying. It represent the end of the carnival, I think.

Here, where I live, they used to burn it on the sea, but I think it's forbbiden now...
