And links too, even if they only go to another part of the note?

Did I said something about <a>? ;) I use them (and many other people too) and interpret them as bookmarks.
Just don't try to make from note a computer, new enigma or anything like that.

Some of the most interesting and well-organized notes that I've come across (and made) included links to internal <p>'s, <div>'s, and other such thingamajigs.
That said, one of the top-three worst notes that I remember coming across also used those, but with that one the problem was that the order was completely messed up and some typo's broke some links.
Some people really would do well by learning the "in-and-out"-rule, which makes sure that certain tags get properly closed.

Help, I'm trying to add "underlined" to a style code in a note, and it's not producing correctly!

This is what I have in the note so far.

Code: Select all

<style>
h1 {color: #FFFFFF; underline; bold; size: 10; }
h2 {color: #BBCCFF; size: 3; underline; }
h3 {color: #BBFFFF; size: 2.5; }
b {size: 1.5; }
</style>

<h1>H1 TEXT HERE</h1>
Normal text.

<h2>H2 TEXT HERE</h2>
Normal text.

<h3>H3 TEXT HERE</h2>
Normal text.

<style type="text/css">
    body { background-color: #008000 }
    h1 {color: #FFFFFF; text-decoration: underline; font-weight: bold; font-size: 10px; }
    h2 {color: #BBCCFF; font-size: 3px; text-decoration: underline; }
    h3 {color: #BBFFFF; font-size: 2.5px; }

</style>

All (normal) CSS rules are name-value pairs, so there's no such thing as a rule like "underline" existing on its own. Also, all measurements must be accompanied by a unit (with no space between the unit and the number). px is a good choice for absolute font sizes, and you can use em to give the size as a multiple of the default font size for that element.

There is also shorthand for font, if you want to save space in your note... ;)

Code: Select all

<style>
H1 { color: #FFF; font: bold underline 10px Verdana, Arial, Serif; }
...
</style>
