Re: Thought or Rant of the day!!!
I would take a random drive except that I have some actual goals in mind. I've been itching to go skiing and need to do so before it gets too warm. The more responsible thing to do would be to scope out places where I might want to move in the next year. If I find a good place to ski near where I'm considering moving, then I can accomplish both.

Re: Thought or Rant of the day!!!
My pain is getting worse. I texted the bf when it started, today (I can feel it coming on), so I actually had a time frame, and it last 45 minutes. 45 godawful minutes where I couldn't think, and I was just wandering around the house going "No. No. No. God please make it stop."
Something else I noticed: As soon as it starts, my body temperature inexplicably rises and I start sweating. So I spent most of those 45 minutes cooling off, only for the pain to stop and me be freezing.
So I pretty much just went back and forth between my bed and the couch, trying to figure out which was less painful, muttering and grunting in pain, and the entirety of the last ten minutes I spent crying at Stephen Colbert, just laying there uselessly.

Are you on medication for it, have you seen a doctor, is this a recurring problem?

No, no, and yes. It's happened...4 times? So far? The first couple of times started when I was asleep, so I'm not quite sure. But it's every couple of days. I think I went almost a week without one this past week.

I'm not sure if this counts as a thought of the day but I went to bed at 4:30 pm, with intent to take a nap - woke up 4 am... XD Have been awake ever since. It's a bit of a weird experience. I won't have to go to work today because I have an appointment at 1 pm.

Since I created the thread. I get to be the judge.

It`s definitely a thought.

I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.

<rambling>
I have a forming blister....on my thumb of all places.
Band was in sectionals during class yesterday, and the clarinets basically split up into two groups, one led by the band colonel and one led by yours truly. But the thirds were having tempo and subdivision problems, so I was snapping the tempo for them and saying the subdivision. And I can only snap with my right hand (I can do the motion on left, but the sound doesn't come out like it should), which is the hand I use as main support for my clarinet. So now it's festival week, and I've a blister to add to the callous already there.

Rant: If someone has the balls to give a complete stranger a compliment, that stranger should at least say thank you even if the compliment was given with no expectations.

Yes! Tell a mom her baby is pretty she is likely to hide it under her jacket now days so you dont look at it. And people wonder why so many young people are socially retarded. I could rant on this rudeness subject for about a month. DONT GET ME STARTED.

They're probably shocked speechless and think the complimenter is some kind of pervert. I'd say thank you, and then wonder what's wrong with that person. My parents taught me not to interact with strangers, and I never got over it. If I don't know you, and you're not asking me for something, then I wonder what your motives are. Let me pass by on the street, and I'll do the same. If someone knocks on my door and I'm not expecting company, I automatically assume it's a bad person trying to rob me. I keep a bat at the door. I have very little faith in my fellow man. How could I? I watch the news.
I can't tell you the number of strangers that my wife has almost beat up for touching our babies unasked. Why do people think that they have a right to touch another person's baby? Back the f off if you want to keep your hand. Even better, the number of complete strangers who ask my wife how far along she is in her pregnancy (like her pregnancy is anyone's f'ing business other than hers and mine), and then get this apalled look on their face when she answers 3 months shy of what they assume. The message: Damn you're fat. Real classy, but she got is innumeral times during both pregnancies. So please, if you see me or my family on the street and don't know us, unless my wallet is falling out of my pocket, I'm about to get a piano dropped on my head, or you need directions, don't talk to me. Thanks.
@Mojo - I thank people that compliment my babies, but honestly, I know they're cute, and I know they're well behaved. I just hurry off before they take my thank you as permission to touch them.

I understand that... but I'm just the opposite...
I live on the outskirt (?) of the city and it's like living in the country. And, I know, I'm a little naive and I believe too much on people so I used to speak with the people and all that...
And I've lived really weird situations, I swear...

Re: Thought or Rant of the day!!!
I don't get the whole touching babies thing. I don't even do that with my relatives' babies unless they say it's ok and I just washed my hands. My sister finally told me to quit asking before even patting my nephew's head. It annoys me that people just jump right in without any consideration.
Yes, I have reacted a little suspiciously at an off-handed compliment, but at the same time it's a nice feeling when you realize "Wow, they were just being nice!" I would still thank someone even if I wasn't sure of their intentions. Anyway, the incident I was referring to was in a situation where a compliment isn't exactly inappropriate and I don't think telling someone they have beautiful eyes is creepy.

Re: Thought or Rant of the day!!!
Touching babies that you dont know is WRONG, saying pretty baby is what mommy's and daddy's are supposed to want to hear. I learned a long time ago not to approach pregnant women about that subject unless she brings it up...how did I learn? By being one that was constantly harassed by every freaking person in the bank, grocery store, parking lot ect. Leave me the F alone already! And Omg the belly touchers! I actually smacked a woman one day for doing that....yeah pregnant women are crazy, they are supposed to be, so dont mess with them.
