Sounds like the world really needs to be shrunk. As I suggested before, increasing all travel rates by some multiplier (e.g., X 2) would be an easy way to make the world smaller.

I would be in huge favor of something like this. For a social interaction game, it takes a completely absurd amount of time for a character without a vehicle to get anywhere.

I think the point is to encourage people to stay in one place and develop a social structure.

Shouldn't the game mechanic takes neutral position? Shouldn't people gather together in one place because of natural and social causes (too many and too subtle to define), not because of a very huge long distance between places? And in contrary, shouldn't people move and go away when the place where they belong to doesn't naturally and socially "attract" them to live there?
So the consideration should fall to, just, how rational is the travelling time itself.
I personally think, yes, the planet should be shrinked a little. Because it is a little bit irrational that people often need more than two days just to travel to a neighboring town. Are they lazy snails or what? But in no way to shrink the planet as much as twice of its current "size" since too-fast travel means less-fun travel when done in group or with a friend, don't ruin their time teasing each other!

Since you asked; how many dorks are currently playing the game?
No, seriously,
I notice that Cantr is using Google Stats script, so, how many, if any, Indonesian are playing the game?
Thank you.

Why would you call Indonesians dorks? That's a bit racist, isn't it?

That was not racist if I am an Indonesian, right? And I am. So I wanted to know.
And no, I didn't call them (us) dorks. I wanted to know how many dorks were playing the game, but since, I assume, dorkness wouldn't be included in any Cantr statistical data, so someone should ask another question. And I did.

You did by grammatical implication - there's no separation of thoughts in your post. "No, Seriously..." in this case acts as a bridge between your statements, not as a negation of your first statement.
Don't think that I'm picking on your grammar, just that I read this as completely opposite of how you intended, so I wanted to be clear as to why.
And completely off-topic, but yes, I do think that you can be racist to your own race. Rappers use that argument all the time, and I don't think it holds water. People keeping themselves down is more insidious than another people oppressing them.

How many towns are currently eligible for spawning English speakers (i.e., have at least 2 English speakers)?

20-odd languages? Sounds like a lot of work. Maybe just the big ones.

I'd like to find out what percentage of cantrarians have red hair contrasted against the percentage of actual humans.
