No, it's okay. It's nothing against you or your picture (I can't draw worth a crap either, I'm lucky I can photoshop).
It's just that 3D people (Sims, IMVU, etc) tend to look like creepy soulless robots. I think it's because their eyes don't focus. IDK.

It just occurred to me, but the Sims 3 wouldn't be a horrible thing to use when making character avatars.

I did make a couple of mine and others in Sims 2 during the downtime. Yes, I know it's pathetic that I kept playing Cantr via The Sims...but it was a long time without the green!!

I could use Sims 3, but I honestly don't enjoy it as much as 2.
