Characters that irritate you/yours -

You know what I'm surprised I don't see more of? You have so many couples in the game, but I've never seen one--not one--ever cheat on the other. It happens all the time IRL but in Cantr, they're always all faithful to each other and crap (at least that I've seen) and then if they do break up or whatever, one just gets all mopey.
Where are the screaming matches, the throwing the cheaters crap out on the lawn, the catfights?
So unrealistic.
Something I'm tired of is stuff like *jumps on Person and knocks them to the ground, biting their neck*. 'Infallible' characters are just irritating.
This one also combo'd by being a rapist, funnily enough.

You simply haven't seen much. Yet.
Quite a few around Xendra... Walkers (the wife half, mostly), Nikya (oh the twirling bundle of joy... Not!) and ShyAnne Rae (the whole world is against me, look how wronged I am... So I'll just throw a fit, swear and cry)
Also, some chars who base their opinion on someone, on entirely someone else's views. Have you got no eyes, or can you not think for yourselves, people (My char is just an observer in all this, not a part)? Annoys me IRL, too.

Public broadcasts of staff activity? Telling everyone in town that he has been playing for 6 years and wrote a big chunk of the wikki? I mean my char hates (his? her?) char for other reasons, but as a player it bugs the hell out of me!

So my bias is clear, not a chunk of the wiki, just some.

But it seems gauche to me to, adding to the game then claiming credit, almost OOC while playing a charter.

In a world of perfect role playing OOC would not be considered IC, and I haven't considered this sort of behavior before, perhaps it is appropriate. As I said my charter hates *** so perhaps my judgment is colored.

Irritated me though, so I posted it here. perhaps the wrong place, it is the player who irritated me as a player, my charter hates *** but that is a result of some good playing on ***'s part.

Landis cheating on his wife was pretty public. That was some serious drama and tore that town to shreds for awhile.

Jacqui cheated on Krissy in Baaak or at least intended to the day after she swore herself to Krissy. This happen in public view and her body rots in a common area because she is -still- being punished for it. I believe Krissy said she died of steel poisoning.

I've actually seen screaming matches between couples. Two relationships simultaneously dissolved in one town because people had cheated. There was so soooo much screaming and it resulted with my char getting banned from the town xD

Some people are more private and if there's cheating involved, they don't want outsiders to hear about it. Rather than having public drama, I think gossiping about things in private is much juicier.

Edit: I was trying to find a quote but I can't for the life of me remember which day it happened, so I'll paraphrase it. This has nothing to do with irritating characters but keeping up with the topic of cheating.

My character and a guy are alone in a building for some reason. My character starts feeling drawn to the guy so she touches him, he reacts well, it leads into a kiss. Just then, another guy walks in. Nothing is posted during the second he spends inside, but for the sake of continuity, the kiss must've been ongoing, so my character rushes out after him and goes "Please don't tell my girlfriend, it was only a kiss, I swear, we didn't go any further." And the guy is like "don't worry, I won't tell". Later my character had to slip Mr Kissing Partner a letter saying they couldn't do it anymore because the risk of getting caught was too high, couldn't whisper to him because it could've gotten overheard. He only nodded and they never talked about it again. Sort of tragic because their chemistries seemed to match, and it's cool that you could just randomly initiate an encounter like that without saying a word and have another person react to it so strongly.
