Re: What music did you listen to today?
A bunch of midi files with the sheet music available for clarinet.
Thirty Caprices by E. Cavallini
No. 1 (This is the only one so far with any rhythmic variance, but I can't play it because some of those notes are seriously out of my playable range.)
No. 3 (Sounds awesome, but difficult...some of those register jumps are ridiculous!)
No. 4 (I want to learn this one)
No. 7 (I want to learn this one too.)
No. 8 (This one sounds too difficult for my skill level at the moment. but definitely a goal in the future)

I can't stand her.
Her music is addicting, but I hate it.
I'm an 80's and 90's junkie, with 70's thrown in.
So my playlist for today:
"Wot" by Captain Sensible
"Ants Marching" and "So Much to Say" by Dave Matthews Band
"Smooth Criminal" by Alien Ant Farm
"Bohemian Rhapsody" by Queen
"Smells Like Teen Spirit" by Nirvana
A bunch of songs by BarlowGirl, TobyMac, and Nickel Creek during art class today
And "How to Save a Life" by the Fray

WHY OH WHY do I listen to music that makes me feel like crying?

A few songs that helped me get through another boring and sleepless night:
On the more melodic metal side:
Avantasia - Promised Land
Firewind - Falling To Pieces
Avantasia - Lost In Space - Extended Version (The original is pretty awesome too)
On the more progressive/heavy metal side:
Evergrey - Visions
Scar Symmetry - Ghost Prototype II - Deus Ex Machina
In Flames - Drenched In Fear

Kal David-one of the greatest blues guitarists that far too few people have heard of. Oh...you have heard him, just not heard of him.
I can't tell if he is playing an old model Gibson Firebird or a new Hamer version. His website says he plays both, but his stage guitar looks like a firebird. I leave that to the experts. I just listen.

Free Ride-the studio version rocks, but this live version can light a place up too.

There are also a couple version of while my guitar gently weeps on youtube too. If you like great guitar, this is one of the unknown gods.

I used to be against Lady Gaga, but then I converged. She's not a favorite, but she does a good job.
I heard this on the radio today and I'll mention it because it's still in my head:
"Breakeven" by The Script, who I've never heard of before.
And I really like the song "Waiting for the End" by Linkin Park.

And I expect more Chroma Key during the course of the day, as and when required.
