You know what irritates me more than newspawn thieves who repent or lie so as not to die? Ones who WILL NOT TALK or do anything but hit you and you KNOW they want to die and you SO want to but you just...can't...let...them win.

Oh, dear god, how I do love torturing people in Cantr. Does that make me twisted? Probably. Oh, well.
Anyway, every character that has a great personality and that makes great plans with my characters, then suddenly falls asleep and doesn't talk, irritates me. And makes me teh sadz0rs.

I have learned that I dont really plan on plans of any type unless Im talking to a char in their 30's or is so awake they cannot be ignored. Still...most plans by my 20 year old chars fail the first three or four times. Just like RL!

Really? Hmm, I guess I'm just so conditioned to ignore failure that I just don't notice that basically all my char's 20s-era plans fail (sans around 3 of them).

I hate that too. I sorta hate when people go away for a week and don't even let you know. I mean, yea a lot of people hate OOC: messages, but i really appreciate it when people let you know they aren't able to login for a long time. Just because my character is worried, doesn't mean I should have to be.

Even the older population can be sleepy.

Sorry.
i (as a player) personally agree whole-heartedly, even if my char is of the opposite opinion.

Then again, I have characters who don't care much about thievery and would give more stuff to thieves just to keep them in town to increase the active population.
I like them too! In fact I play them occasionally...though I don't do the 'suddenly nice' thing, just make them cooperative enough that they (hopefully!) won't be killed. Even had two of my thieves from my first account eventually wind up with important key-holding positions.
I just like that, depending on the location, it has a good chance of leading to some interesting RP and tension right off the bat. Though it does seem like towns are usually either way too harsh (lock up thieves to die of boredom) or way too nice ('aww, well since you gave everything back and seem to be sorry we forgive you, now let it never be spoken of again'), without much in between.
Either way, though I try not to overdo it I generally like stealing stuff and running as a more exciting introduction than 'hi i'm new does anyone have a job for me?' and you can tell a lot about other characters/a town in general by how they react. I know it's probably bad form, but I've let a couple of mine die just because the people chasing me weren't very interesting.

I just wanna say, I wish we could have characters meet and interact and stuff sometimes (even though the two I'm thinking of would never be able to anyway).
I have this one character who thinks she's so badass and hard and tough, a real warrior woman. I would LOVE LOVE LOVE for her to meet another one of my characters (Nathair) so she could find out just how bad she's not.
I was just thinkin' about that.

Lack of sensible economical policy by some of people in charge. There are weird decisions sometimes, and later there is crying why nobody wants to work or people go idle.

It's easy to stay away from them in Baaak, the problem starts when we're in Puddle's party van.
